The Van Dessel Gin and Trombones cyclocross bike underwent several modifications for 2011. Made from 7005 triple-butted aluminum alloy, the tubes are TIG welded for a lighter build and has seatstays made from carbon fiber.

To match the frame, the Gin and Trombones have a cross-specific carbon fiber fork and a tapered 1.5″ headtube. The headtube has a thick gusset to make it more rigid. An oversized downtube and oval shaped top tube gives way to wide chainstays, giving the Gin and Trombones ‘cross bike great front and rear mud clearance.

Another modification for the 2011 model is having the cable housing of the rear derailleur run from the top tube to the derailleur, making it free from any hindrances. It is now fitted for BB30 press-fit bearings or an option for the traditional 68mm threading.

Van Dessel gives the Rivet road bike the latest in carbon fiber frame construction, the tube-to-tube wrapping, which allows the Rivet to distribute excellent power transfer and extreme comfort when riding. The new carbon wrapping construction resulted in a tighter frame that Van Dessel believes to be its most dialed-in frame ever.

The Rivet has a tapered 1.5″ headtube and is BB30 compatible. Available in 7 sizes, it has 31.6mm seat post with a 34.0 front derailleur clamp. The Rivet has many build options that makes it flexible. Although it is better used for racing, the Rivet harvests enough comfort to endure longer rides, too.

Pricing for the frameset—which includes frame, fork and headset—is $1999. For the frameset, with FSA K-Force Lite Ceramic BB30 crankset, the price is $2699. …

It took the company two years to come up with this bike, surpassing skeptics and critics with a design inspired from the Gin & Trombones cyclocross bike.

The Full-Tilt Boogie features smaller tube diameters with a 1.5’ tapered headtube. It has a BB30 bottom bracket shell and no area for water bottles since the bike is made to be fast and slick. It promises excellent performance over rough terrain and weighs between 1,150 to 1,250 grams. It comes in five sizes of 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58 cm. Vittoria XM tubular will be made available in all complete bikes.
