British road cyclist Dan Fleeman has signed with the UK team Raleigh. 27-year-old Fleeman is a national hillclimb champion, and is set to add some much needed strength and advantage to the roster of 10 cyclists. Fleeman rode alongside Carlos Sastre and Thor Hushovd on the Cervelo Test Team this past year. Team Raleigh’s 2010 team lineup is: Dan Fleeman, Tom Barras, Dale Appleby, Liam Holohan, Daniel Shand, James Stewart, Richard Handley, Michael Cumings, Peter Smith, Julian Rammler, and team manager Chris Truett….

To many a cyclist, riding without an mp3 player is leaving home without your wallet. Music really helps to pass time, not to mention it makes your cycling adventures that much more fun when you’re blasting your favorite tunes and rolling down the road. However, this topic is being brought up in a negative way by the UK’s mainstream press. The Times has said that AA president Edmund King had called for a campaign which warns riders against using mp3 players while riding. The article speaks of “iPod zombies” that have “become the latest menace on Britain’s roads,” saying that listening to music is responsible for a rise in cycling collisions and accidents. It is clearly important to be able to see and hear your surroundings for your safety, but this may be a bit of overkill. Currently, the UK has no law banning…

Pantani frames, made in Italy, are now available in the UK. They are designed by Davide Boifava, a former pro cyclist and also joint founder of the Carrera Podium Bike Company. The Pantani frames are available in either Skin (aluminum) or Corsair (carbon) in black/yellow, black/blue, and black/red. They feature Marco Pantani’s signature of the top tube. The carbon frame is made using “Solid Carbon” technology, which uses high pressure to make the carbon fiber more sturdy. The other is made with 7005 series T6 aluminum.
