For 2011, Turner Bikes made a few changes with its Sultan XC/trail bike. The 120mm of travel with the dw-link suspension system went under review to ensure that the relationship of the dw-link placing, bottom bracket height and chainstay length goes well. The goal is to have the power transfer go smoothly through the 29-inch wheels.

These changes include a 44mm head tube that allow for a Cane Creek 1.5″ external cup and inset 1 1/8″ upper cup. Now in anodized paint finish, the Sultan can also be fitted with a 1 1/8″ steer tube with an inset Cane Creek headset.

Another modification was the lowered bottom bracket. With a possibility of using a 140mm travel fork, Turner also tweaked the junction of the seat tube and top tube.

MSRP with a trail kit build is $4499. The frame kit MSRP is $2450.

The 2011 Turner 5.Spot features an aluminum frame with dw-link suspension for enduro trail and XC riding. It has a Fox 32 Float Fit RLC 150mm travel fork with RP23 shock and Formula RX brakes. Slacker than previous models, it now has a 67.7 degrees head angle. There is also an option for an upgrade to TALAS (Travel Adjuster Linier Air Spring) fork.

With zero stack toptube, bars, stem and seatpost are from Raceface Evolve. The Turner 5.Spot has separate cable guides, with laser etched graphics and SLX 3×10 drivetrain. It comes with DT wheelset, Continental Trail King 2.2 tires and RaceFace Evolve bars, stem and seatpost.

The Turner 5.Spot has a Cane Creek S3 headset and 44XX on the bottom. Other components on the trail bike includes WTB Rocket V saddle and soft ODI grips. Weighing 28.7 lbs (medium), the trail-kit retails for $4598.

The 2011 Turner RFX Prototype debuts at the 2010 Interbike. It is the second prototype from last year’s initial product. The updated 2011 Turner RFX bike has adjustable AngleSet and over 17″ of chainstay length. The head angle is adjustable from 64.5 to 66 degree angle. It also uses ISCG-05 chain guide mounts.

The 2011 RFX has 1.5 headtube and uses Dave Weagle’s DW-Link suspension system. It also has 6.7″ travel and Fox RC4 coil to make the ride more plush than before. It also has post mount with replaceable threads and 142mmx12mm rear axle. The RFX has a 73mm bottom bracket. It has a 13.7″ BB height and a stiff BB rear end.

Due to be released on Spring of 2011, the Turner RFX Prototype will be targeted for all-mountain riding and freeride.

The New 2011 DHR by Turner is a fully supped-up DW-link downhill bike. It should be shipping out in the next few weeks and is going to be issued in Black anodized option ($3150) and Raw ($3100). It will also be available in various sizes; S, M, L and XL. The new DHR is equipped with Dave Weagle’s DW-link to make its 8.3” travel manageable and easy to maneuver.

The 2011 Turner DHR downhill bike weighs a little over 10 lbs and has Fox shock and a steel spring. It has a tapered tube with a 63.3 head angle and uses a Boxxer team fork. Turner Bikes just put up a couple of pictures of their new DHR 2010 Prototype frame, a downhill mountain bike frame that in the past has made some serious noise. Although one of the frames was on display at Interbike, the Turner Bikes Prototype DHR 2010 Frame adds on a few changes, with the most obvious being the color, although the green may still release, and adding a DW-Link while the previous model had a single pivot. Retail price and release date are not known yet, but later in 2010 you can purchase.
