One of the awaited triathlon bikes for 2011, the Quintana Roo CD0.1 Ultegra does not fail to impress. It takes pride by using Quintana Roo’s SHIFT, 18mm offset downtube that redirects the airflow away from the drive side.

The CD0.1 Ultegra uses a high-modulus carbon fiber construction, Dura Ace/Ultegra components and BB30 technology. More features include ISM Adamo saddle, Shimano RS-30 wheels and Vision Trimax Alloy TT crankset.

Available in 4 sizes, the CD0.1 Ultegra uses TRP brakes, Tektro levers and is currently available as a complete bike only. With a new shatter design and distressed look, MSRP for the 2011 Quintana Roo CD0.1 Ultegra is $3100.

Blue Competition Cycles designed a triathlon bike for triathletes who prefer a different riding position other than that of a low and aggressive one, common on bars with arm rests. The Blue Triad SP is that triathlon bike that allows you to still go fast even with a tall front end to achieve a higher rise on the bars. It remains stiff, stable and comfortable, which makes it a reliable choice for some.

The Triad SP is spec’d with quality parts and components but keeps in check the price tag to remain under $3000. It has a frame out of Aerus Conquest T700 high-modulus carbon fiber with an aero fork and alloy steerer. It features a 2 position seatpost, 76 and 80 degrees.

Blue mixed in SRAM rear derailleur and shifters together with a Shimano cassette and chain. The Triad SP also uses FSA crankset and a front derailleur. Integrated headset,…

Touted to be the most copied bike in triathlon/time trial history, the Cervelo P3 Ultegra features aerodynamic specs with a Shimano Ultegra chain, cassette, and front and rear derailleur. Taking the lead from Cervelo’s P2, the P3 Ultegra has the 3T Funda Pro aero fork with a curved seattube. The seattube now encompasses most of the rearwheel for better aerodynamics. The P3 also features a monostay design, allowing the seatstay to blend in with the main tube.

The Vision stem, base bar, clip on and brake levers are made from sturdy, lightweight aluminum. It uses Dura Ace shifters with FSA Gossamer Pro for front and rear brake calipers. As for the crankset, the P3 plays host to FSA Gossamer MegaExo. The P3 is 150g lighter than the P2, too.

Internal CableStop or ICS is another feature on the P3, which simply means how internal cable routing can decrease air drag as…

Made to give you an aerodynamic advantage, the Specialized 2011 Shiv TT/Triathlon Bike comes to you in limited production at a retail price of $5,500 for the S-Works frame module alone.

It features rear brakes hidden much like the Transition. Still to keep the aerodynamic advantage, it has horizontal rear dropouts. The 2011 Shiv also has brake barrel adjusters located on the bar ends. Internal cable routing is in place and the frame also features a nose cone which keeps the front brakes out of sight and does the steering as well.

The Specialized Shiv allows for multiple seat post adjustment so you can shift your seat forward or to the rear. It also allows multiple pad adjustment height where you can rest your elbows and arms comfortably based on your desired height.

The frame weighs about 850 grams. For the meantime, UCI deemed the Shiv to be too aerodynamic…
