You can take 2011 Fuel EX across various terrains, with this light and precise machine.

Using the ABP technology, also known as Active Braking Pivot, the 2011 Trek Fuel EX aligns the rear suspension directly with the rear wheel, allowing the shock to still move if your breaking braking, pedaling or descending. Depending on the Fuel EX model, the frame is made of OCLV carbon or Alpha Red aluminum.

Using a tapered steerer fork, which is crucial for the E2 system. E2 uses a 1-1/8″ headset to a tapered headtube, fork, and headset. With a 1.5″ lower taper to a 1-1/8″ upper headset, this gives you more material where it matters. Overall, giving you a light, stronger frame. This is only on Fuel EX 7 and above…

<a

Also showing inf France, the all mountain 2011 Trek Remedy uses a carbon fiber frame and Sram XX 10 speed drivetrain. Following is a custom valved fox suspension for the front and rear.
The 2011 Trek Remedy 9.9 features Trek’s OCLV technology, with carbon layup that allows the abuse the bike will take while riding it. Comparing weight to the previous year, the 2011 model is about 100 grams lighter. The chainstays are alloy (like last years), and the seatstays are designed with Trek’s mountain OCLV carbon. This factors in a lighter and overall strong frame.
First debut was in France, the 2011 Trek Scratch Air aesthetically looks tailored to trail riding, rather than freeride as previous years. Some of the highlights for 2011 are the chain retention device followed with a 2 ring setup, adding versatility. Downtube guard is similar, and the chainstay protection is removable. One piece EVO link, and as mentioned before, the integrated downtube guard can be purchased aftermarket, and fit aluminum Remedy and Scratch models from 2008-2011. The Trek 6 series SSL 2011 which is apart of the Madone series is 100 grams lighter than last years model, plus the 5 series models received some big changes as well.

The new 2011 Trek Madone 6 Series SSL is lighter due to a new carbon fiber used by Trek called OCLV Hex SL. OCLV Hex SL brings the same stiffness just like the high modulus carbon but is uses twice the elongation properties, and four times the strength. Trek’s product engineer Chris Pomering stated “you won’t see many others using it due to the fact that the US Government declares it Defense grade material, and therefore it is prohibited to be shipped outside the NATO alliance”.<br
