Trek has slowly released the new 2011 Lexa Womens road bikes to select retailers. Apart of the 2011 Trek Lexa road bikes is the Lexa, Lexa S, Lexa SL, and Lexa SLX. All are aimed to retail at affordable prices.

The 2011 Lexa frame and fork is made of aluminum, comes with 8 speeds, and a compact drivetrain. MSRP is $689.99.

Trek Lexa S utilizes a carbon fork, 9 speed drivetrain, and retails for $899.99. The Lexa SL is available in a triple or compact drivetrain (9 speed Tiagra), and carbon fork. MSRP is $1,099.99.

Lastly, and top of the line is the 2011 Trek SLX. Using a 10 speed shifter, and hydro formed frame. Retail is $1,319.99.

Trek’s famous Downhill bike, the Session 88 is back for 2011 with some interesting changes.

2011 Trek Session 88 DH uses a new downtube armor and new hyrdroforming design. As well, the 2011 Session 88 DH will have integrated fork bumpers and a new graphic design. A strengthening plate has been placed between the seat tube and top tube.

Trek has added a minnow link system which will set the steering angle and height bracket. More info like MSRP and specs coming soon.

Trek World is coming, and they have showcased one of the bikes that is a prototype for now, the Broadsider. Inspiration for the 2011 Trek Broadsider came from a comic book.

The comic book follows Max Malco, a legendary cliff racer that lost his life trying to save a young boy from his rivals. The bike and story was made from Trek’s industrial design group, and as of now the Broadsider is a prototype. Said by Trek “(Broadsider) project intended to keep the Trek brain trust sharp”.

Still, the Trek 2011 Broadsider takes on a vintage/tarnished look, and as of now it is not known if it will release.

The 2011 Trek Fuel EX is one of Trek’s most versatile offerings when it comes to full suspension bikes. You can take 2011 Fuel EX across various terrains, with this light and precise machine.

Using the ABP technology, also known as Active Braking Pivot, the 2011 Trek Fuel EX aligns the rear suspension directly with the rear wheel, allowing the shock to still move if your breaking braking, pedaling or descending. Depending on the Fuel EX model, the frame is made of OCLV carbon or Alpha Red aluminum.

Using a tapered steerer fork, which is crucial for the E2 system. E2 uses a 1-1/8″ headset to a tapered headtube, fork, and headset. With a 1.5″ lower taper to a 1-1/8″ upper headset, this gives you more material where it matters. Overall, giving you a light, stronger frame. This is only on Fuel EX 7 and above…

Trek certainly has some goodies lined up, in our second showing of whats new from the 2011 Trek line, we have the Remedy 9.9. Also showing inf France, the all mountain 2011 Trek Remedy uses a carbon fiber frame and Sram XX 10 speed drivetrain. Following is a custom valved fox suspension for the front and rear.

The 2011 Trek Remedy 9.9 features Trek’s OCLV technology, with carbon layup that allows the abuse the bike will take while riding it. Comparing weight to the previous year, the 2011 model is about 100 grams lighter. The chainstays are alloy (like last years), and the seatstays are designed with Trek’s mountain OCLV carbon. This factors in a lighter and overall strong frame.

2011 Trek Mountain Bikes look very promising, while one of the top tier models is the Scratch Air. The 2011 Scratch Air uses a custom tube rebound setting with VX Can RP23, DT Swiss wheels, and Fox 36 Talas fork.

First debut was in France, the 2011 Trek Scratch Air aesthetically looks tailored to trail riding, rather than freeride as previous years. Some of the highlights for 2011 are the chain retention device followed with a 2 ring setup, adding versatility. Downtube guard is similar, and the chainstay protection is removable. One piece EVO link, and as mentioned before, the integrated downtube guard can be purchased aftermarket, and fit aluminum Remedy and Scratch models from 2008-2011. More spectacular pictures below.

Trek unveils the new 2011 Madone Road Bike lineup, which claimed by Trek are lighter, pricing is wide spread, and more features. The Trek 6 series SSL 2011 which is apart of the Madone series is 100 grams lighter than last years model, plus the 5 series models received some big changes as well.

The new 2011 Trek Madone 6 Series SSL is lighter due to a new carbon fiber used by Trek called OCLV Hex SL. OCLV Hex SL brings the same stiffness just like the high modulus carbon but is uses twice the elongation properties, and four times the strength. Trek’s product engineer Chris Pomering stated “you won’t see many others using it due to the fact that the US Government declares it Defense grade material, and therefore it is prohibited to be shipped outside the NATO alliance”.
