Transition Bikes reveals a new trail bike for spring of 2011 called the Bandit. It comes with 130mm of rear travel, 68 degree head angle and a 74 degree seat angle. The Bandit’s geometry aims for a more upright riding position and comes in four sizes.

With 16.9″ chainstays, the Bandit runs with a 140mm Fox RP23 shock and uses Transition’s usual suspension system, the low single pivot linkage.

The Bandit’s design is slightly regressive with a firm top but is easy to handle for cornering, descents and climbs with its custom hydroformed tubeset that features a tapered headtube and 135mm x 10mm dropouts.

MSRP for the 2011 Transition Bandit is $1549 for the frame and shock.

Transition Bikes offers the Bank Hardtail for 4X and dual slalom racing although, it can handle dirtjumps and pump tracks. Lightweight and with newly modified top and down tubes, the Transition Bank has an integrated gusset to make the front end lighter and stiffer. There’s a tapered headtbe with 1 1/8″ Cane Creek integrated top and 1.5 bottom. The rear end features Transition Bikes’ Concentric Rear Axle Positioning or C.R.A.P. This allows the Bank to run a singlespeed or geared setup with a 135mmx10mm rear dropout.

The Bank frame is heat treated 6061 aluminum and comes in sizes S, M and L. It has a 31.7mm seatpost and 34.9mm seat clamp. For the bottom bracket, the Bank has Euro 73mm shell x 51mm chainline. It also has a ISCG05 chainguide.

The 2011 Transition Bikes TransAM is designed to take the XC trails, but be aggressive on all mountain lines.

Featuring a Japanese butted 4130 Cro-mo ED (Electronic Deposit) frame that is treated for corrosion, with a frame weight of 6 pounds 2 ounces. A integrated headset has been added for a smooth look, CNC dropouts are also placed to run your traditional gears or single speed.

The Transition 2011 TransAM utilizes a 140mm fork, but can also accept a 160mm. Depending on the complete build you want (Geared $2,508.00, Singlespeed $2,238.00) the bike will weigh in between 23 – 25 pounds. Retail for the frame is $569.00. Available in Red, Green, or Pewter.

It will be available in January to February 2011. The TR250 frame weighs 0.7 lbs and will come with Fox DHX RC4 shock. Transition has made the TR250 to be more compact and more sensitive frame which will cater to riders itchin’ to bring it on jump trails, DH courses and bike parks.

The 2011 TR250 comes with a longer wheelbase for high speed racing and shorter rear end for jump trails. It has an adjustable travel from 160mm to 180mm. It retains adjustable geometry like that of the TR450 on the head angle and BB height. It comes with a single crown fork and adjustable chainstay/wheelbase care of the dropout.

Modified to meet downhill racers’ needs like compatibility with a lower bottom bracket and slack headtube, the Blindside comes in orange, white, black or raw.

The Blindside frame features Fox DHX 5.0 Coil 8.75″ x 2.75″ stroke or DHX 5.0 Air 8.75″ x 2.5″. It is made with the 6000 series heat treated aluminum and comes in three sizes of small, medium and large. It comes with a decal kit with colors black, white, green and red.

The frame weighs 7.6 lbs without rear shock. It is compatible with up to 8” dual crown forks and has a 73mm bottom bracket spacing. You can even use it for up to 8” rear disc break rotors and has a 12x135mm axle dropouts.

To keep up with the hype on producing bigger and better bikes, Transition keeps up with new releases like the TR450. Here is another addition to their line.

The Transition 2010 Double is made 27% better and lighter. Each tube and yoke are tweaked to polish a new frame to make you accommodate other kinds of riding with it.

The 2010 Double has new rear end equipped with an internal chainstay cable routing. A new tubeset is made specifically for the front triangle. The internal headtube gusset forms to merge in a tapered headtube making it stronger than most.

A new flip chip in the rocker arm is installed to allow travel options of 80mm or 100mm. It has chamfered edges and trick new custom pivot bolts. These new bolts are also compatible with Fox forks. There are three colors available for the 2010 Double namely Lemon Lime Green, Cyan Blue and Raw.

Transition Bikes created a fully dedicated bike for downhill racing called the TR450. The goal is to achieve stability and speed by making adjustments on the head angle and the chainstay length. This led to a neutrality on the frame with the rider’s weight set in a balance between the front and rear wheels.

With the help of pro rider Lars Sternberg, the TR450 was carefully researched to have all the advantages needed in DH racing. The suspension holds to allow the bike for top strokes and bottom out control without a bumpy feel. This also makes room for tune ups.
