rotor sx handlebar stem   Rotor SX Road Bike StemRotor, a company famous for their products such as cranks, non-circular chain rings and handle bar stems now introduces their latest addition to their product, the Rotor SX Handlebar Stem. This stem is somewhat identical to a previous stem they had before, only better.

They made two models on this handlebars, the S2 and the SX. The S2 is almost the same to the old Rotor S1 Stem, only  that the S2 has adopted the T25 Torx-Headed Dual Thread Technology which has clamping bolts in place and a 3mm Allen-head DTT bolts of the S1 thus making this new change way better.

The SX model however, was a pre-production sample before. The changes made is that the SX uses four bolts while the S2 uses 2. SX was also raised to a 2.5 degree instead of the 7.5 degree, it is much heavier than that of the regular handlebar by…

Easton’s New Haven Line

Releasing its new collection, the brand Easton has added to its Haven line a new set of handlebars, stems and seat posts to go along with the all-mountain alloy and carbon wheel set that they had released previously.

The Haven bar, which is both offered in carbon and alloy versions are almost the same with their 71mm width, 20mm rise and 9-degree back sweep. They also added the new haven carbon bar that is a cross-country light which is about 170g but at an affordable price. Besides the bars, they also added their Taper Wall butting and shaping technology that keeps the aluminum version at 265g all in two colors.

Also, available soon to their product is the matching machined and forged aluminum stem with a large 40mm diameter extension and a handlebar clamp that resists torsional flex. The upcoming handlebar will also have Easton’s Top-lock faceplate design which is…

The Gusset staff stem 80mm model only weighs 152g good for tough roads since it isn’t that heavy to lift and was cold-forged from a 6061 aluminum with a 5 degree rise or drop with its flip-flop design. Mondraker is going all out on testing the new Fox40 crown and stem, which is fused together. As of now, the Mondraker Integrated FOX40 Crown and Stem is a prototype, and is expected to be used with all the team riders to receive solid feedback. Mondraker stated that the stem and crown weighs only 253 grams, which is lighter than the Fox Crown and stem offering (368 grams). The new Mondraker integrated crown and stem takes away the use of 4 screws, and its flat design allows additional adjustments. More information coming soon.

Making headway with their fixed gear products now, Gran Royale announced their new components for 2010, while we have a preview of the handlebar stem combos. Two different Gran Royale Fixed Handlebar Stem Combos are available, a drop bar and flat bar. The Gran Royale drop bar combo uses about a 100mm stem, while the flat bar combo is about the same. Three colors are available, black, white, and silver.

Deluxe BMX is proud to present their first prototype stem designed by Sylvain Taro, the same person to design Deluxe’s seat clamp. The Deluxe BMX Prototype Stem is CNC machined out of 7075 T-6 aluminum, using the more traditional two bolt, and 54mm of reach. The stem is solid, and you can expect it to withstand hard use at the parks or street riding. As of now, Deluxe is still testing out the new stems, and a expected release is for this summer. Retail price is yet to be determined, but the stem weighs just less than 300 grams.

Answer has some new prototype stems available soon known as the Rove DJ. The Answer Rove DJ Stem is a dirt jumping stem designed for those that want to hit the trails hard and are similar to the DH stems. Some additional information is they are 60mm wide at the clamp, 35mm and 50mm in length, and weighing in at 200 grams. Color options are white, black, gold, and red. Release date is not known just yet, but should be available soon.
