Trek Bikes, one of the leading mountain bike producers, has unveiled its trail-ripping full suspension bikes collection for 2012. The 2012 lineup introduces a new category called Technical Trail Bikes, which includes the new Trek Slash.
Made for the endurance downhill mountain biker, the Trek Slash features a new 160mm travel system that was built with Trek riders Ross Schnell and Rene Wildhaber. In any condition, maximum pedaling efficiency is guaranteed by pairing the Slash with an Active Breaking Pivot rear end and a DRCV shock.
While no one is allowed to ride it yet, the 2012 Trek Slash Mountain Bike is said to offer perfect geometry, suspension, and parts spec that will rule the endurance downhill arena. Replacing the Scratch Air in the Trek line-up, the Slash is intended for gravity riders who want slight pedaling.
