For the R087, not many changes were made from its older model, the R086. It still has a fiberglass reinforced nylon sole which you can use for three bolt and two bolt cleats. The graphics on the upper is now of flowing lines. The RO87 retails for £79.99.

The R077 only differs from the R076 on the graphics. The fiberglass sole and triple hook-and-loop closure is still used and the price remains the same, £69.99.

The R315 features Rovenica ultra-fine synthetic fabric upper material. The holes for ventilation are sized bigger than its older model the R310. It costs £269.99.

A new ratchet style for closure is one of the R106’s features. With fiberglass reinforced composite sole and amazing graphics, it costs £109.99.

In accordance to the 10 speed mountain biking market’s needs, the group caters to two styles, race and trail. This is based on the cranking configuration. Shimano employs its Dyna-Sys technology for an intuitive gear combination that allows the rider, the bike and the trail to become one.

The FC-M980 Crankset is designed for trail. It has the Hollowtech II design to maintain stiffness while retaining its lightweight feature. To keep you stable as well, it has outward bearings. First we showed you a new wheelset from Shimano, and now for 2011 Shimano brings out the carbon Dura Ace pedals, known as the PD-7900 SPD-SL. The Shimano Carbon 2011 Dura Ace PD-7900 SPD-SL Pedals takes away the aluminum body and adds carbon fiber, which slims the pedals down by 30 grams.

The Shimano 2011 Dura Ace Pedals use a stainless steel plate allowing a nice durable surface for the cleat, plus you can move your foot around without tearing into the carbon. Following, the axles and bearings are held with a billet aluminum cylinder which is bonded to the interior, and each pedal has three sets of bearings. Weighing in at 248 grams, releasing September 2010. Retail price is $349.99.

New from Shimano under the Dura Ace line is the C35 carbon alloy clincher wheelset for 2011. You may have spotted the wheelsets on various professional cyclists bikes, and recently was given a passing grade for quality control testing, and can be purchased soon.

The Shimano Dura Ace 2011 Carbon Tubular Clincher C35 Wheelset are lighter than the C50 by 75 grams, but still feature the aerodynamics of its counterpart plus are said to be faster. Quality is present due to high modulus carbon construction and assembled by hand in the Shimano factory. Shimano also took it a step further by giving each wheelset a control number so you can track it back to the builder. Release date is slated for December 2010, with the C35 Tubular retailing at $2499.99, and the C35 Clincher at $1999.99.

Shimano joins the E-Bike market with the launch of their Shimano Total Electric Power System (STEPS). A whole range of components and parts for E-Bikes were showcased, featuring the torque sensor and regenerative power capacities, easy-to-use and battery characteristics.

Invited to Shimano’s opening for STEPS were major European OEMs of about 250 E-Bike manufacturers and suppliers to learn all the specific features and salient perspectives of the system. Such features include a 250W brushless mounted on the front wheel along with a geared hub motor, a bottom bracket integrated torque sensor, a crankset with a rotation sensor, a rear carrier integrated battery and tail light, and a system management unit. The unit is composed of an integrated headlight, with an electronic shifting Nexus 8 speed gear hub, a cycle computer display and has brake button levers for system control and the power regenerative capabilities of the STEPS system.

The spindle material for the Dura Ace PD-7810 is nickel plated chrome-moly. It uses BC 9/16″ x 20 T.P.I. for its spindle thread.
