For 2012, Orbea has redesigned its mountain bike, Occam, by getting rid of its common elevated chainstays. Orbea promotes its frame with 123mm of travel as with all-mountain and trail. Available both in carbon and in an aluminum versions, the Occam comes in nine different makes.
Both the carbon and aluminum versions will come available with the customary options, My Orbea. Other common features include a low bottom bracket height at 327mm, 420mm chainstays, which is relatively short, and a 612mm top tube, which is relatively long for a medium size.
One unique feature of the 2012 Orbea Occam Carbon and Aluminum Mountain Bikes is its concentric rear axle end that reduces its weight. In the main pivot, dual 28mm sealed bearings are used in both versions. Also, sealed bearings are used all through the other parts of the pivots and shock mounts.
