London is going to be implementing one of many new measures to prevent cyclists getting killed or injured by goods drivers; they will be installing cycle safety mirrors at left-turn traffic lights, giving drivers a view of everything between the road and the curb. Convex-Mirrors Ltd of Bath have developed a mirror that’s 45cm in diameter with high visibility and orange edges. The mirror features a Warning Cyclist logo to let drivers know to watch for cyclists. The cycle safety mirrors will begin being used in 2010.
