For the first time, Pivot Cycles has released a carbon fiber mountain bike called Mach 5.7 Carbon. Featured by the 142 X 12mm through axle design is a forged 7075-T6 derailleur hanger that comes with an integrated axle nut. Its matte natural carbon comes with green, cyan, pink, or red highlights.
The internal molding technology used by the Mach 5.7 frame is hollow-box and high-compression. Like the overall rear triangle stiffness, the diameter of all front triangle tubes were maximized in order to add a more compact design, which, in turn, increases the frame’s torsional stiffness.
Also featured by the frame is a 160mm rear post mount and a new style DW-Link, which comes with a broader double row bearing placement. With its carbon fiber experience, Pivot Cycles takes pride in the release of the 2012 Pivot Mach 5.7 Carbon Fiber Mountain Bike as its first one.
