Lance Armstrong was spotted wearing the new Radio Shack team jersey on twitter, which was provided by Radio Shack’s page. This season, Radio Shack will sport a red and grey jersey, and although this is a sneak peak, things can still change for the final outcome. Dead in the center is the Radio Shack logo, but other sponsors are present like Nike, Trek, and Nissan. On the left sleeve you can see the Livestrong band supporting the foundation. Starting January 17th the first race will take place in Australia at the Tour Down Under, where you can see the team wearing the final product.

English cyclist Bradley Wiggins talks about his 2010 season, and also speaks about some of the competition, most notably Lance Armstrong. He recently spoke at a track meeting in Manchester, and said “I raced ’till very late in the season with the Sun Tour after the World Championships. To be honest it was perfect really as it extended my season and meant less time pissing around as I only had a small concentrated break, but still got everything out of my system that I needed to.” “It was my definitely my longest season and I did roughly a hundred days of racing,” Wiggins adds. He admits to gaining a bit of weight in the off season, attributing it to “lager.” “I had one bad day at the Tour this year and that happened to be when it was the day with the most mountains in it…

Johan Bruyneel, RadioShack’s team manager, has recently made some critical comments about two-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador in an interview with the Belgian magazine Knack. Bruyneel was both Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador’s manager with Astana, but it seems that he sides more with the American. When Bruyneel was asked what he thought about Contador’s comments that he didn’t have admiration towards Armstrong, he said “Alberto has to learn that fame is temporary. His feet have to come back to the ground.” “Contador hit the summit like a rocket. In 2007 he won the Tour when nobody expected it. Suddenly, he became a superstar, a product, a God in the eyes of all Spaniards. And he has money, as much as he wants, since then. It is not easy to deal with all of this when you’re just a 26-year-old rider from the suburbs…

Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has had many publicized conflicts with other cyclists, many of which have been fabricated just for the media to intimidate his competition. The conflict between Armstrong and two-time Tour winner Alberto Contador, however, is real. “We are not making it up. It’s there,” Armstrong says of the conflict to Australian magazine Sport&Style. Contador is not particularly fond of Armstrong either; “My relationship with Armstrong is zero.” I think that independently of what his character is, he is still a great champion. He has won seven Tours and played a big role in this one, too. But it’s different to speak at a personal level… I have never really admired him that much, or will, ever. But of course as a cyclist he is a great champion,” adds Contador. It’s no secret that we are not friends. It…

Over the course of this past weekend, somebody made off with a Trek-Livestrong time trial bike from Lance Armstrong’s Mellow Johnny’s bike shop in Austin, TX. The Trek Equinox TTX XL was ridden by team member Ryan Baumann in the 2009 season. Ted Arnold, the store’s sales manager, said that the store was broken into early Sunday, but they didn’t think anything was stolen at first. He ended up counting photos taken by Velo News and realized that Baumann’s bike was missing. The stolen bike features custom-painted Bontrager Aero bars, with Baumann’s name on the top tube. It also sports a Bontrager front wheel and Zipp disc rear. The bike is owned by Trek, and is worth about $10,000. The shop will use Twitter to try and recover the bike, as Ted Arnold says, much like Lance Armstrong used it to recover his…
