1 out of rev3 win by reed and dibens 200x300   1 out of Rev3 Win by Reed and DibensMatt Reed of USA and Julie Dibens of Great Britain won the first race of the Revolution3 Triathlon Series in Knoxville, Tennessee.

At the very start of the race, the question, “Who could handle the freezing conditions?” remained unanswered. On the morning race, the athletes were met with below-normal temperatures, however, the water temperature was above 70 degrees and out of their wetsuits, the pros braved the waters.

American Cameron Dye got out of the down-river swim with 15:05 in the clock with a chasing pack led by Reed was right after Dye. Reed took on the bike and sustained the lead early in the race. Bjorn Andersson of Sweden overtook Reed and Chris Lieto of the USA. Andersson pushed the lead and had a 90 second lead over Lieto.

However, Reed running a 32:53 with10 km on the stretch overtook Andersson and Lieto. He finished at 1:51:55 and won the race….
