All three triathlon bikes have a high modulus carbon frame with a reduced weight by 5%. The B12 comes with an aero tubeset that features internal cable routing. It has forged horizontal dropouts and Felt 3.2 Airfoil carbon steerer. It has SRAM Red with R2C bar end shifters and SRAM Red TT chainrings to deliver smooth shifting and high aerodynamics. Its Bayonet handlebars can be adjusted with total weight of 19.62lbs. The retail price for the Felt B12 is $3499.

The B14 shares the same fork with Ultegra Dura Ace derailleurs and TRP aero brake levers. It also has a 10-speed Shimano bar end shifters. The new B14 also uses the Felt TTR-3 700c 40mm deep aluminum rims which has a CNC machined braking surface. It also makes use of the Bayonet 6061 T6 base bar…

2011 felt z5 road bike 300x182   2011 Felt Z5 Road BikeFelt Bicycles introduces the Z5 Road Bike for 2011. Marketed to be a versatile performer, the Z5 features a high modulus carbon fiber frame that has a forged dropout, replaceable hanger with 3K finish. It adheres to Felt’s classic racing specific geometry.

The fork comes with the same material as the frame with aluminum dropouts and carbon blades. It also has the Felt compression drive and a 1-1/8” steerer and crown. New Shimano 105 brakes, cassette, derailleurs, chain and shifters are on the Z5 with Mavic CXP-22N aluminum rims. It also has machined UB control braking surface and wear indicator, dual pivot brakes on stainless steel parts and Teflon bushings.

Felt recalls 2009 Road Bike models

felt recalls 2009 road bike models 1 300x92   Felt recalls 2009 Road Bike modelsFelt Bicycles formally announces a voluntary recall of approximately 2,100 Felt bicycles with models of B12, B16 and S32. They were sold from October 2008 through May 2010 at a price range of $2,300-$3,100.

The road bikes were manufactured by ADK Technology Limited from China. The recall was in partnership with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. This was due to seven reports that the bicycle fork steer tubes broke while in use, resulting in injury.

Although only minor injuries were suffered, Felt Bicycles requested the recall to avoid future accidents. The B12 road bikes have carbon fiber frames and forks with aluminum steer tubes. They also come in gloss silver/carbon colors.

The B16 have the same makings but comes in matte black/red. The S32 road bikes have aluminum frames and steer tubes with carbon fiber forks. They are available in colors gloss white/red.

Felt Bicycles unveils a bike you can use for city limit sprints and mountain trails. The Felt F5 is made by Felt’s innovative technology to give you a lightweight carbon frame that maintains an efficient stiff pedaling system. The Felt F5 high modular carbon frame with 3KP finish has forged dropout and replaceable hanger.

It has a 1.4 HM carbon design, carbon blades and crown. It also has a 1 1/8 steerer with aluminum dropouts and Felt compression device. Felt F5 also has aluminum seatpost, stem and handlebar.

The Felt F5 has Shimano 105 components, a 53/39T crankset. 11-25T cassette and a Shimano 10-speed chain.

The wheelset includes a Felt 1.2 road saddle, embossed cover, hollow Cr-Mo rails and Shimano 105 Super SLR dual pivot brakes with cartridge brake shoes. The wheels have DT Champion Stainless 2.0mm spokes and Mavic CXP-22S aluminum rims.

The Mafia road racing team will continue to be supported by Felt Bicycles in 2010. Since its birth in 2007, the Mafia Racing program in Colorado pushes forward to national level without losing focus on community based activities. The goal is to inspire people to reach out and be a part of the worl of arts, culture and health.

New to the team are Tristan Schouten, Kathy Sherwin and Sam Jurekovic. Tristan won the 2010 Wisconsin state cyclo-cross and is part of the top ten cyclists for the US Grand Prix of Cyclocross’ Planet Bike Cup. On the other hand, Kathy won the Utah State Cross-country race thrice. Sam was a former Under-23 National champion.
