Chrome’s InterBike booth was very creative, featuring two stories, giving out free tattoos, and a live messenger bag assembly show. Chrome spoke with us about their most popular messenger bag, the Citizen.

Another pair of shoes released from Chrome, this pair is called the Dresden. Much like the Arnhem model, except for the Dresden’s are low tops.

The Chrome Dresden weighs 2 pounds, suede uppers, skid resistant rubber sole, low profile design to fit right in with cage pedals, vulcanized construction, and a “lace garage” so the laces will not interfere with the chain.

Chrome releases a pair of shoes to match its durable messenger bags, the Tobruk. Made of 1000 denier Cordura, the Tobruk comes in colors of black and grey.

The Tobruk features the signature red sole which is board lasted and rides well on the pedals. It also has fiberglass shank and a reflective detail on the back heel for visibility. With contoured support insole, the Tobruk is flexible from pedal to all-day walking without making your feet sore.

Chrome has launched the Staff Design collection using the Citizen messenger bags. Three Chrome staff members has designed a Chrome Citizen bag, while each is respectively named after the designer, Eddy, Joanie, and Anne. All three come in multiple vibrant colors, and are available in limited quantities. Only released in the medium sized messenger bag with a retail price of $160.

San Francisco based utility bag manufacturer Chrome and Krooked Skateboards partnered to come out with a limited edition of Chrome’s “Citizen” bag. The Citizen bag will feature graphic designs by Krooked’s founder Mark Gonzales. The Citizen bags with Gonzales’ artwork will hit stores on July 1st.

Chrome’s marketing director Matt Sharkey shares how this collaboration came to be: “Mark’s instantly recognizable artistic style has graced everything from skateboard decks to works of art in boutiques and museums all over the world. We are truly honored to have the rare opportunity to work with such a legend and have his artwork on this line.”

Chrome chose “Citizen” because it appeals mostly to cycling enthusiasts, both professional and recreational riders. Chrome has released two new messenger bags in connection with streetwear company Upper Playground. The Chrome x Upper Playground Citizen Messenger Bags feature artwork done by Sam Flores and Jeremy Fish, two artists based out of San Francisco California. Both bags are guaranteed for life and feature 1,000 denier Cordura outer shell making them weatherproof, EVA foam padded shoulder strap, Velcro accessory mounting strap, and Seat-belt buckle release that doubles as a bottle opener. The blue/black Chrome x Upper Playground bag features a character known as “Angel of Death”, and the red/black has a fowl but looks like a tiki head. Retail price is $195.
