The 2011 Charge Filter sports a traditional geometry, ideal for commuting as well as cyclocross racing. With Tange Prestige Cromoly frame and fork, the Filter Hi shows a semi-compact build. It has SRAM Apex components and Truvativ 50/34 chainset.

For brakes, the Filter Hi has Avid Shorty 4 cantilevers. The FSA Vero compact handlebar has a shallow profile and matches with the FSA TH-857 headset. Optional mudguards can be placed due to longer chainstays.

Finishing the road bike are Charge Spoon saddle, Alex wheels with Charge hubs and Kenda Small Block 8 tires….

Shimano’s Alfine 11 rear hub debuts with Charge Bikes’ Mixer 11. The Alfine 11 hub has oil-bath internals for longer life and a modified range from eight-speed to eleven-speed. It also has Alfine Rapidfire SLS500 for shift levers. The Mixer 11 arrives as one of the more expensive city bikes with a retail price of £1,229.

The sleek commuter bike comes with Tange tubing that’s heat treated and has rack mounts. It’s available in three sizes (S, M, L). An asymmetric Tange cromoly fork and 6061 eccentric alloy bottom bracket is also present for proper chain tension.

For stopping power, the Mixer 11 uses Shimano BRM486 hydraulic brakes. Spec’d with Charge saddle, alloy bar and stem and FSA 1 1/8″ headset, the Mixer 11 comes off with a promise of a durable city bike with Wellgo pedals, Plunger MTB grips, Alex rims and Continental Sport Contact 32mm tires….

Meant for tearing it up in the mud, Charge Bikes might want to change the white grip tape because that will be one of the first to get dirty.

A U.K. bike company by the name of Charge has got a fixie worth mentioning, the trick-specific Charge Scissor. The Charge Scissor started its life out as an ordinary fixed gear Charge frameset. By tweaking the Charge Plug’s geometry (the frameset Scissor was built off of), and pairing it with BMX like forks, a 700c fixed gear bike with barspin clearance was born. The Frame is constructed of butted Tange Prestige cromoly, making it lighter and stronger than the Charge Plug.
