The Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships moved to Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-30, 2011. Special features to expect in the event are the community and sponsor support, the level of competition and terrain and the variety of events and activities.

This event is licensed by USA Cycling, Inc. (Colorado Springs, CO) and organized by Medalist Sports. Among its partners are Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center (GHS), Title Sponsor; TD Bank, Presenting Sponsor of the Road Race Championships; Duke Energy, Presenting Sponsor of the Individual Time Trial Championships; GE Energy; Hincapie Sportswear; Yakima Products; the City of Greenville; and Greenville County and in partnership with the Palmetto Peloton Project and the US Handcycling Federation.

Cameron Meyer, of Garmin-Transitions, has seized victory at the Australian time trial today. He came close last year, finishing as the runner-up behind Luke Roberts. The young, 21-year-old Meyer’s winning time was 50 minutes and 52 seconds in the 38km course in Ballarat. John Anderson finished behind Meyer with a time of 51:21, and behind him was Roberts, with 51:25. Cameron’s younger brother, Travis, finished fifth with 52.27.
