2012 RockGardn Fate Carbon Gloves

Featuring a new 1×4 split-knuckle design, the 2012 RockGardn Fate Carbon Gloves guarantee high quality and reliable performance. Sewn to a leather edge are four independent pieces instead of a large single-piece knuckle. In turn, the leather edge is sewn to a neoprene panel, which is floating and ventilated.

To help the knuckle pieces articulate with the hand’s position, the neoprene panel slides over the breathable Airmesh top layer. This helps get rid of pressure points both for braking and gripping. Attached to the Airprene layer are the internally padded carbon-fiber forefingers and knuckles.

While the real cowhide leather inside thumb and lower palm maximize comfort and abrasion resistance, the sweat-absorbing terrycloth back thumb comes with a leather-reinforced tip. Lastly, the durability and breathability of the gloves are enhanced by its woven finger gussets.

For the first time, Pivot Cycles has released a carbon fiber mountain bike called Mach 5.7 Carbon. Featured by the 142 X 12mm through axle design is a forged 7075-T6 derailleur hanger that comes with an integrated axle nut. Its matte natural carbon comes with green, cyan, pink, or red highlights.

The internal molding technology used by the Mach 5.7 frame is hollow-box and high-compression. Like the overall rear triangle stiffness, the diameter of all front triangle tubes were maximized in order to add a more compact design, which, in turn, increases the frame’s torsional stiffness.

Also featured by the frame is a 160mm rear post mount and a new style DW-Link, which comes with a broader double row bearing placement. With its carbon fiber experience, Pivot Cycles takes pride in the release of the 2012 Pivot Mach 5.7 Carbon Fiber Mountain Bike as its first one.

A top quality kit item, the One23 Ceramic/Carbon External Bottom Bracket guarantees to smarten up the drivetrain. Without compromising the durability, it offers great smoothness and its lack of friction makes this piece even more excellent.

Being all ceramic and carbon, the One23 weighs in at only 100g. Its carbon sleeve looks a lot more amazing than the common plastic one. However, the carbon sleeve is concealed in the frame. Due to its feathery weight, tightening the alloy cups needed extra care.

Although it is quite pricey, the One23 Ceramic/Carbon External Bottom Bracket guarantees an excellent performance. However, a creak may be developed after a long off-road distance. This can be fixed by a quick re-grease of the threads and contact surfaces to bring its silky smooth performance back.
