2010 bmc racing jerseys   2010 BMC Racing Jerseys The BMC Racing Team made the Tour Down Under their personal showcase as they unveiled their latest racing jerseys for 2010. Coined the “red devils”, the eye-catching kit certainly deserved the hype it enjoyed.

BMC played it real close to the chest whenever somebody would ask them about the design of their latest jerseys, and made everyone wait until this moment to finally reveal their snazzy kit.

Of course, there were other big moments for BMC, as current World Champion Cadel Evans and current U.S. Champion George Hincapie stood in line with the rest of the enthusiastic team during their team presentation at the Tour Down Under.

The fans showed their approval of the quality lineup as the “Red Devils” received the loudest applause of all the teams present….

German Marcus Burghardt, who spent his five pro years riding with Columbia-HTC and T-Mobile, is ready to begin 2010 with his new squad, BMC Racing. “I can tell how the time flies by, or shall I say, sprints by. They were good years, in which I learned a lot. There were highs and lows, as every athlete experiences,” he says on his Website, marcus-burghardt.com. He made his Tour de France debut in 2007, and also that year, he won Gent-Wavelgem. He experienced knee problems in 2006 and 2008, and 2009 was not that great for him either. Burghardt is looking forward to begin 2010 with BMC, and will meet with his trainer in Mallorca before going to team training camp in California. Cadel Evans, from Australia, has announced that he will be starting the Tour Down Under with his new team, BMC. US cyclist George Hincapie will be riding alongside Evans, confirms BMC. Mike Turtur, race director, is pleased with Evans’ return to the event, and says his return to the Australian race is a huge boost to the event. “It is great for the race and for Australian cycling fans that Cadel will be returning to ride at the Tour Down Under,” he says. “Evans brings a wealth of experience in the grand tours to his new team and now as world champion he’ll be primed and ready for the challenges of the 2010 cycling season,” he adds. On Sunday, US-based cycling team BMC has announced that they have signed world champion cyclist Cadel Evans to their squad with a three-year contract. He was released on Saturday from his Silence-Lotto team. After heavy speculation that BMC would be his next stop, we now have confirmation. While BMC has yet to participate in any Grand Tours such as the Giro d’Italia, Vuelta de Espana, or Tour de France, they plan to change that next year, as BMC co-owner Jim Ochowicz says “Cadel brings a wealth of experience in the Grand Tours to the team. As I said earlier, our team will have multiple chances to measure ourselves against the greatest teams in the world. John Murphy, United States Criterium champion, signs a two year deal with BMC racing team. He will be living in Europe, as most of the 2010 schedule will be there. Murphy signed the deal in Mid-September after talks with team manager Gavin Chillcot and directeur sportif Mike Sayers. Murphy says that the team feels he would be a great Classics rider;

“Help in the Classics: that’s what I think I’m on the team for and it’s where I can help the most. Hopefully I can do my job whatever that is, whether it’s fetching bottles or leading out sprints. I’m up for whatever.”
