Blue Competition Cycles has redesigned its aero road bike called AC1 for 2012. All throughout the bike, aerodynamics has been greatly enhanced while offering reliable stiffness and better ride quality. First, from straight 1.125 inches, the head tube is now tapered 1.125 to 1.25 inches.

By increasing the length of the part behind the headtube, stiffness is well enhanced. Moreover, increase of length increases the downtube height from 4cm to 5cm. Aerodynamics is enhanced by the constantly varying tube profile of the seatstays, down tube and fork legs by using Super Flow Tube Technology.

The frame of the 2012 Blue Competition Cycles AC1 Aero Road Bike is designed to be more lightweight. This is achieved by the stiffer BB area and the contact area made larger by the increased depth of the seat tube and the larger down tube. From 1300g, the new frame weighs in at 1080g.
