Riders looking for an ultralight mountain bike should come across the 2011 BH Peak 6.8 and say “wow”.

This new bike was designed for maximum output with minimum weight drag. It features a great amount of components and definitely delivers the same brand of quality from BH Bikes.

The Peak’s frame will feature SR Suntour Raidon X1 RL Air forks and an FSA Headset. Shimano’s optimum performance also makes the cut as several components use the brand, including the shifters (using the Shimano Deore 3X9), brakes (Shimano M445 160), gears (Shimano SLX), derailleurs and the cassette.

BH (Beistegui Hermanos) Bikes remains a leader in the cyclocross category with its 2011 RX1. One of the new features that makes the RX1 special is the use of the T500 high-modulus monocoque carbon fiber in its frame. The BH RX1 also has a 1.5″ tapered fork, oversized fork legs and a BB30 bottom bracket shell. All of these parts and components equate to a lighter road bike, only 17.2 lbs.

A new internal top tube cable routing is in place to maximize the shape of the top tube, making it great for shouldering. There’s a BB30 60mm and the BH RX1 is available in four sizes—52, 54, 56 and 57. It weighs 18.3 lbs when spec’d with Shimano Ultegra components.
