For those riders who prefer more of a transport/fitness bike, the Specialized Ariel Step Thru drops for 2011. With a women’s style step-through A1 Premium aluminum feature frame, the bike delivers easier accessibility and lightweight confidence for a more relaxed and comfortable riding position.
A 75mm travel coil-sprung fork with alloy lowers, the transport bike performs exceptionally well. The Ariel Step Thru also uses durable, double-walled 700c alloy rims covered by a Specialized Infinity Sport 700c tires, to help it cope with all unfit roads.
For better performance, a chainguard is added with a triple crankset that provides the rider the gear needed for a ride. Also offered here is the pain-free Women’s-specific BG Contour MTB grips designed for longer rides.
Specialized’s Ariel Step Thru comes in at $599 for the complete package.
