2011 Haro Mountain Bikes

2011 haro mountain bikes 1 300x194   2011 Haro Mountain BikesNow at better pricing and new graphics, Haro reinvents its line up for 2011 with the Shift R5, Mary 29er, Flightline 29er, Steel Reserve, Thread and Porter bikes.

Under the 26 inch freestyle line, the 2011 Porter was designed by Team Haro’s own Eric Porter. It features an aluminum frame and dual-suspension with RockShox Argyle fork and Fox Van R coil/over for rear suspension. The Thread also has an aluminum frame and Marzocchi suspension with e-thirteen chain guides. On the other hand, the Steel Reserve uses a double-butted chromoly frame, Marzocchi suspension and Avid BBDB5 disc brakes.

The Haro 2011 Shift R5 is a dual-suspension trailbike which features 4.5 inches of travel, Rockshox suspension and forged aluminum frame junctions. It has Shimano M486 hydraulic disc brakes and MSRP of $1,450.

2011 Redline 29er & Singlespeed MTB

2011 redline 29er and singlespeed 1 300x212   2011 Redline 29er & Singlespeed MTBRedline unveils new 29ers this September. These are the 2011 D660, Monocog Flight 29er, Monocog 29er and D600. There’s also an upcoming D680 model but there are no known details for it yet.

The 2011 D660 features a double butted aluminum alloy frame with forged dropouts. It also has a 100mm RockShox Reba SL fork and Ritchey bar, stem and post. It has SRAM 2×10 drivetrian, Tektro Draco Hydraulic brakes, Alex DP20 rim and WTB Prowler 29er tires. MSRP is $1799.

At $899, the Redline D600 comes with a 6061 double butted front triangle, Avid BB5 disc brakes and a RockShox Dart 3 fork. It also features SRAM X5 2×9 drivetrain, Alex DH19 wheels and WTB tires.

The Diplomat 29er is a trail bike that promises little or less impact to the rider as it goes up and down the trail. It has a 120mm front and rear travel fork with a tapered 1 1/8”-1.5” headtube. It has direct mount derailleur and chain stays of 17.5 inches. The front derailleur is attached on the chain stay yoke with removable seat stay arch to give you better handling. It has 71 degree head angle and 73 degree seat angle.

The 2011 Diplomat 29er has maximum tire clearance of 2.5 and uses Fox RP 23 shock with a “XY” secondary air canister. The 44 Micro Ti and the 44 TST2 are based on Marzocchi’s 44 suspension model fork. The new forks has a travel of 100mm to 140mm. The travel is adjustable with the use of spacers which you may add or remove.

The 44 Micro Ti features a VA (variable air) adjuster which gives the compression curve you want through a dial. It also has a TST Micro damper with adjustable rebound, lockout and lockout threshold. It also features AER, a new low pressure air system that gives a plush ride with Titanium negative spring. It retails for £599.95.

2011 Felt Nine 29er Hardtail

2011 felt nine 1 300x200   2011 Felt Nine 29er Hardtail Felt reveals a new set of 29er hardtails for 2011. The 2011 Felt Nine Elite has Monocoque carbon fiber frame with Shimano SLX components. It features blue powder-coated spokes.

The Felt Nine Trail complete has a frame which weighs 4.1lbs and gets a similar make with the Nine LTD carbon hardtail. It has a longer travel fork than its race siblings. It has Tektro disc brakes and Shimano Acera/Alivio components. The Nine Trail retails at $599.

The 2011 Nine LTD has a UHC Nano carbon fiber frame which weighs 2.4lbs. Don’t be deceived by its feather-light weight because this frame is engineered to provide excellent performance. The Nine LTD frame retails at $2299.

We talked about the 2011 Breezer Cloud 9 29er, but now an official image has released to the press. Originally releasing in 1993, the Cloud 9 took a break for awhile, and 2011 will resurrect the mountain bike. Also releasing alongside is the Jetstream 29er.

The 2011 Breezer Cloud 9 29er uses high modulus carbon fiber, and is tailored to cross country racers and those competing in marathons. Three different packages of the 2011 Cloud 9 will release, a frameset (msrp $1,799), Pro (msrp $2,999), and a Limited Edition (msrp $5,899).

Made for impact, the 2011 Cloud 9 uses Breezer D’Fusion carbon shaping, this allows stress and impact throughout the whole frame, rather than in one location (and could resort to cracking). The Flash 29 has a high modulus carbon fiber construction which goes from the front and splits at the seat tube and goes towards the rear.

With an inch and a half headtube, the Flash 29 also features the Cannondale S.A.V.E. chainstays and seatposts for a comfortable ride. They work like a mini-suspension systems on the bike to absorb rad shocks and vibrations.
