Giant slowly stocks up on 29ers and for 2011, the Anthem X 29er is its new baby. It features almost the same specs with a regular Anthem. It comes in three sizes with a retail price of £2950.

The Anthem X 29er has a Maestro suspension platform. It also has Giant bars, stem and post. The frame is made from Fluid Formed AluxX SL aluminum material. Other features include a tapered headtube, Fizik Antares saddle which will be color matched to the frame.

The new 29er has press-fit bottom bracket, 445 brakes and 100mm travel for its rear wheel. It is spec’d with Shimano SLX components and Fox F29 RL 100 fork.

Keeping it simple, yet up to par for anyone looking for a 29er singlespeed. The Kona 2011 Unit has altered the set of sliding dropouts, bigger forks and tapered fork blades. Added is a WTB Valcon saddle, which is custom designed, chainstays plus a slacker head tube angle for a more stable and quicker ride.

For the braking system, the 2011 Kona 29er Unit will use Avid components, and the drivetrain will feature FSA. A retail price is not available yet, but will release in white.

2011 GT Sensor 29er Pro

2011 gt sensor 29er pro 300x180   2011 GT Sensor 29er ProGT introduces its line of 120mm trail bikes called the Sensor series. Ideal for cross-country style of riding, it features 1200 travel front and rear. There are 4 models for the 26 inch wheels and two models for the 29ers.

The 2011 GT Sensor 29er Pro comes with Fox F29 fork, Float RL rear shock which features rebound adjust and lockout. With the 120mm travel, you also have 15mm thru axle. It also uses SRAM X9 drivetrain and 2×10 system (X7/X9 2X10 setup).

To keep you in control, it has Crank Brothers handlebars, Syncros stem and Avid Elixir 5 brakes. It’s one heck of a ride on DT Swiss rims and Kenda tires.

The 2011 GT Sensor 29er Pro is priced at about $3,500.

Raleigh will release the XXIX and XXIX+G 2011 models shortly, both are popular amongst 29er enthusiast.

The Raleigh XXIX+G uses a 10 speed system with a mixture of Shimano components, and Fox F29 RL 100mm with 15mm Thru Axle. A clear coat raw finish is also applied, just like the XXIX. Polished rims and red parts pretty much sums up the XXIX+G for 2011. Retail price is not yet stated.

Up next we have the 2011 Raleigh XXIX 29er, a single speed mtb. Instead of making the frame and fork flashy, it will retain a raw finish, and minimal hints of green throughout. First debuting at the 2010 Sea Otter Classic, and now on the web is the 2011 Norco Shinobi, a 29er full suspension mountain bike.

The Norco 2011 Shinobi uses a bit more travel than other 29ers at 140mm. On the frame, which uses a hydraform design, improvements to the linkage design, tapered steertube, new 142mm Syntace Axle System, and post mount brakes.

So far, a back and silver color will release, with a MSRP of $2850.

Bulls Bikes from Germany reveals its 2011 line up of 29ers. The new range comes in four models, the Copperhead 29er, Copperhead 29er Plus, Tirone 29er and the Team Black Adder 29er. The 29er mountain bikes are made from 3 different materials: Titanium, Carbon and Alloy.

The new 29ers will have RockShox forks with 80mm travel. The sizes available are 47cm, 52cm, and 57cm. They will feature semi integrated headsets and full-length cable housing.

Bulls collaborated with GG (Geerit Gaastra) Concepts on making the design of the bikes. The goal is to keep it affordable yet retaining high quality components and parts. Stiffer BB section and wider chainstay spacing were some features that will give you maximum tire and mud clearance to accommodate 2.25 tires. They also have Shimano type Press-Fit bottom brackets.
