A new frame for 2012 has been released by Bianchi called Methanol SX2. As compared to the previous model, this frame is minimally altered featuring new graphics, new tapered headset, and mounting of the rear brake. Both well done, the frame and its painting come with an excellent cable routing.

Also well assembled is the common blend of components Magura and FSA. What remains unchanged in the frame is its geometry so it still features a great balance between stability and handling. With a new headset, chassis rigidity is improved and the steering response to given commands is increased.

For those who want to assemble a bike at a reasonable price but of high quality, the 2012 Bianchi Methanol SX2 Frame is the perfect choice. Featuring amazing comfort, the frame features a San Marco saddle that ensures a good support to the rider’s buttock.

Prologo has launched two new mountain bike saddles for 2012, which are the Scratch X20 TR and X10. Designed with serious all-mountain/downhill riders or gravity riders in mind, the Scratch X20 TR has been developed in collaboration with the Scott11 World Cup team.

Comfort during all-mountain/downhill rides is guaranteed, thanks to the tuned padding, which is Prologo’s own multi-density EV2 gel all over. The Scratch X20 TR saddle features a wide and deeply padded nose.

To complement the X20, Prologo created a cross-country version called the Scratch X10. While the Scratch X20 TR saddle will use approximately 20cm or 8in suspension travel, the Scratch X10 saddle will have about 10cm or 4in.

Raleigh has released a new steel bike called Furley for 2012. The Furley is a full chromoly steel, including the fork, with a BB30 bottom bracket. Larger BB standard was used to fill an unconventional bottom bracket that is custom-made by FSA in it to allow using standard dropouts at the rear.

Riders can have a geared bike simply by swapping in a standard BB30 bottom bracket and crankset and attaching a derailleur and cassette. Fenders and racks can easily be tackled by the custom rear dropouts, which have mounts for everything.

Designed for riders who prefer tougher and stronger bikes over standard commuters, the 2012 Raleigh Furley is ideal for many urban riders. During winter, riders can be in control without destroying the wheelset, thanks to the bold single-speed sports disk brakes and thicker tires for cobblestone streets.
