Charge 2011 Duster XC

Not long ago, Charge Bikes showcased their new 2011 Duster, a cross country XC mountain bike.

The Charge 2011 Duster XC line features several models, which features steel and titanium bikes. Celebrating the forthcoming release, Charge released a video capturing whats to come, filmed and edited by Alex Rankin.

You can see the 2011 Duster at events with Charge team rider Abi Greenaway. What you will notice is the Duster bikes will feature different bright colors, sort of like mountain bikes released in the 1980s. Enjoy the video!

2011 Campagnolo Khamsin Wheels

2011 campagnolo khamsin 1 300x300   2011 Campagnolo Khamsin WheelsCampagnolo launches an updated version of Khamsin for 2011. Its main goal was to create a wheel that has excellent features, advanced technology, lighter than the 2010 Khamsin but at a competitive price.

The 2011 Khamsin rims that are light yet durable, thanks to a new production process that the Campy Tech team devised. It carries a brand new wear indicator and new graphics. The rims are anodized black.

There are also reinforced spoke housing for the aluminum hubs which are anodized black. It also features oversized flange on the cassette side of the rear wheel.

The new Khamsin has stainless steel 20 straight-head round spokes at the front. As for the rear, there are 9 spokes on the left and with the G3 geometry, 18 curved-head round spokes are on the cassette side.

The 2011 Campagnolo Khamsin certainly challenges existing performance and reliability by raising the bar for an entry level wheel.

During a Canadian downhill race, it was publicly broadcast that the Marin DH took two wins along the way and just faded in hibernation. The Marin DH has been undergoing a lot of changes and development as far as engineering designs are concerned. Coming out of the blue, Marin has recently introduced the Quad DH 2011 at the Crankworx mountain bike festival in Whistler, Canada.

Appearing like a supercharged Quake, the bike is designed to survive and win world cup downhill races. Three years in development, born out of the efficient Quad linkage set up found on all other Marin bikes, the Quad DH bears a whopping 250mm of travel.

Instead of the straight 1.5in tube, its frame is hydroformed with a tapered headtube. It also features a modular replacement dropout system allowing you to fit any type of axle system of your choice and varied sizes are available.

Another new addition to Bianchi’s fixed department is the 2011 Pista Sei Giorni.

The Bianchi 2011 Pista Sei Giorni is a tribute to the 6 day track races, which lasts 24 hours a day, and the winning team is that who completes the most laps. Pista Sei Giorni translates to Track Six Days.

Now, the 2011 Bianchi Pista Sei Giorni fixed features a aluminum frame and fork, 48t crank, 16t fixed cog (with a single speed flip flop), drop track handlebars, and a front brake (although not shown in the picture). A dominate white paint job, plus red hints are sure to turn a few heads.

Bianchi will introduce a few new fixed gear bikes for 2011 (some have released in previous years, just new colors added). One model we take a look at is the Pista Dalmine.

Not information is known on the 2011 Bianchi Pista Dalmine, although it comes with flat bars, aluminum frame and fork (mix of aluminum and carbon), 48t crank, and SRAM Torpedo fixed and freewheel hub. We must admit, the colorway of white and aqua blue is very appealing. We will update the post with a MSRP shortly.

Bianchi will introduce yet another beautiful road bike machine for 2011, the Sempre.

2011 Bianchi Sempre is race ready, full carbon, and a overall new frame design which uses NanoTech carbon technology. Bianchi doesn’t stop there, they also added oversized tubing, BB30, and Bianchi’s UTSS technology (Ultra Thin Seat Stay).

The first Bianchi Sempre for 2011 features a Shimano 105 drivetrain, FSA BB30 Gossamer alloy crankset. With a retail price of $2,299.99, Bianchi made the Sempre a affordable road bike for those that need a competitive edge.

Available in black and red with white Graphics, the frame weighs in at 1120 grams. Sizes to choose from are 50, 53, 55, 57, 59 and 61cm.

The 2011 Specialized Tarmac Comp Compact uses a FACT carbon fork and FACT IS 8r carbon SL2 frame, which makes the bike light and quicker.
