The 2011 Mongoose Boot’r Romo gets a make over and update on its current engineering and geometry which will also include a slacker head angle. It is now fully equipped with Elka suspension fork cartridge and could get you off the ground more than usual by power pedal and tracking. It is stiffer, lighter tubing with comparable travel. It is fast and stronger.

The combination of the Mongoose Boot’r Romo and Elka suspension fork cartridge has an external tunable capacity where the dial on the top is applied for low speed compression and the one at the bottom fork for rebound. It has been tested on the most treacherous terrains in which the rider may apply the suspension required. It now has a version to fit Boxxer Fork, Fox 40 and soon for the Fox 36.

The I-Fly Storm saddles were created on the long-time trick pros use when extreme conditions are present while racing. This was the gluing of tire treads on saddles for more traction and grip. SDG banks on this concept and came up with the Storm Saddles, specific to its purpose of being a saddle you can depend on to keep you seated in whatever weather condition you use it for.

The new saddles have side ribs and differs on the rubber knobs placement. The Extreme saddle mimics the tire tread more with horizontal placement across the saddle and larger concentration on the higher area of the saddle. The All-Weather saddle has circular knobs scattered strategically on the saddle surface.

The Bianchi 2011 Volpe is a part of the Gran Fondo series, which consists of classic bikes made of steel.

History for the Volpe dates back years, but despite its roots the 2011 model contains a mixture of Shimano, SRAM and Sugino drivetrain, and other modern components from WTB, Kalloy, Velo, and Cane Creek.

Fuji introduces its cyclocross bike for 2011, the Altamira CX. The name comes from a Spanish cave located near the base operations of the Fuji-Servetto team. Initial production of 60 framesets is available while the rest will be by spring of 2011. There are two models to choose from, the Altamira CX 1.0 and the Altamira CX 2.0. The frame weighs 1000g for a 54cm model and costs $2949 for a set of frame, fork, headset and seat collar.

The Altamira CX 1.0 comes in six sizes and in colors of white, red and blue. It retails for $5899 and is equipped with Shimano Dura Ace components, Oval Carbon Clincher wheelset, Vittoria Cross tires and Avid Shorty brakeset. It features a high modulus D-6 carbon frame with tapered headtube, BB86 shell, tapered steerer and FC-330 Cross Carbon monocoque fork.

Norco upgrades the dirt/street bike 250 model for 2011. With better lines and clean design, the 2011 Norco 250 now has hydroformed tubing frame that were double butted chromoly. This can be seen on the chainstays and downtube. Designed by Jim Jamieson, it now has 20mm more standover clearance and makes the frame better to handle than with the previous aluminum material.

The Norco 250 now uses a one-piece post and seat mix. This places the seatpost clamp to the top and seat tube junction. It also has thinner dropouts on the rear and removable brake hose guides.

The top end dirt jump bike uses a mid-BB which is tapered in the middle to make it lighter and the frame uses a BED paint finish which is more durable than other paints to protect the 2011 Norco 250.

Giant slowly stocks up on 29ers and for 2011, the Anthem X 29er is its new baby. It features almost the same specs with a regular Anthem. It comes in three sizes with a retail price of £2950.

The Anthem X 29er has a Maestro suspension platform. It also has Giant bars, stem and post. The frame is made from Fluid Formed AluxX SL aluminum material. Other features include a tapered headtube, Fizik Antares saddle which will be color matched to the frame.

The new 29er has press-fit bottom bracket, 445 brakes and 100mm travel for its rear wheel. It is spec’d with Shimano SLX components and Fox F29 RL 100 fork.
