MDE Bikes introduces the 69 DH bike for 2011. Handcrafted inn Italy, it uses MDE’s DH link suspension system where it functions linear at the start and then become progressive later on. The 2011 MDE 69 is designed for downhill racing. It features a rear travel of 210mm and a 64 degree head tube angle.

The bottom bracket height is 360mm and has a chainstay length of 17.48 inches. The MDE 69 DH frame weighs 3700 grams without shock. It also has 30mm seatpost with 1.5″ headtube. It also features BSA 83mm bottom bracket and ISCG 03 e 05 mounts.

The 2011 MDE 69 DH also uses the MDE Dropouts System or MDS and comes in colors of raw, racing red and royal white.

Cube bikes launches 160mm travel mountain bikes with its Fritzz Pro. The 2011 Fritzz Pro frame is made with HPA 7005 Hydroform STKTriple Butted tubes and features the FSP 4-Link system. It also has Formula RX hydr. discbrake (200/180mm) and 3×10 Shimano Deore XT and SLX components.

It has a retail price of $2499 and comes in colors of black, white and blue. The frame is available in sizes of 16″, 18″, 20″ and has a 20mm through axle. The Cube Fritzz Pro has Fox 36 Talas RC2 FIT 120 – 160mm fork and Fox Float P23 rear shock.

The 2011 Cube Hanzz comes in two models, the Hanzz SL and the Hanzz Pro. With 190mm rear travel and 180mm front travel, the Hanzz is Cube’s top of the line product for 2011. The Hanzz SL wears a tag price of $3299 and features Shimano Saint components and a Fox Float RC2 Fit fork. It also weighs 32lbs although with a few changes on its components, you can bring it down to 30lbs.

The 2011 Cube Hanzz SL also has FOX DHX RC4 216mm shock and comes in powder coated stone-washed metal color. The frame is made of HPA 7005 Advanced Hydroform FR Triple Butted tubing and has FSP 4-Link-System for the rear end.

Salsa Cycles introduces its newest full suspension platform, the Spearfish. This model is designed for endurance racing long rides. The frame is shaped with hydroformed EV6 tubing and can fit tires up to 2.25 inches. The weight for the Spearfish comes just under 6lbs even for a 29er frame.

The 2011 Salsa Spearfish rear triangle is shaped to allow for seatstays to flex during suspension cycles. This modification means no rear stay pivots. The frame also optimizes 100mm travel for the front fork and 80mm travel for the rear. It features a tapered headtube, press-fit BB30 bottom bracket and can fit 3×9 or 2×10 speed drivetrains.

Salsa Cycles releases the 2011 Spearfish with MSRP of $999 for the frame and $2250 for a complete build with RockShox Reba fork, tubeless rims and SRAM X7/X9 components. Availability will be in December.

The 2011 Globe Live series consists of four models, two for men and two for women. The models are the Globe Live 3, Live 3 Mixte, Live 2, and Live 2 Mixte.

The Globe 2011 Live 3 frame is constructed of A1 Premium Aluminum, and like all the Live bikes the 3 is fitted for commuting. Equipped with steel fenders, Globe portieur front rack and kickstand, the Live makes for a fun bike. Available in marina blue, retail is $1,450.

On to the womens side, which is known as the Globe Live 3 Mixte. It features the same frame material, but the frame is a step through. Fenders, racks and a kickstand are also included, plus a belt drive sprocket and chain. MSRP is $1,450, and comes in white.

First introduced a few months ago, Redline is ready to release the 2011 Urbis fixed.

The Redline Urbis was made popular because of its ability to barspins with a front disc brake. And for 2011, this has not changed.

The 2011 Redline Urbis features full chromoly double butted tubes, full chromoly forks, Redline Alloy cranks with a 36t sprocket, 16t single/fixed cog, and Redline Alloy JR Cruiser.

A new color, white, is available but other than that not much has changed from the 2010 to the 2011 Redline Urbis. Retail price is around $550.

For 2011, Fuji redesigned their Outland mountain bikes, which consists of the 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0.

The 2011 Fuji Outland is your all purpose mtb, but is geared towards cross country. In 2010, the Outland used 100mm of travel, but in 2011 it will use 125mm.

Another new feature for the 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 2011 Fuji Outland is the low pressure shock, which is easier to tune, and will last longer.

The rocker is 3D, and keyed. What this means is when the bolt is out of the rocker arms, it will not stick.

Fuji assured us that any pressure applied to the rear end would not result in the 2011 Outland’s seat stay getting any closer to the seat post, which happens to many full suspension mountain bikes. After attempting to do so twice, we gave up.
