On November 6th 2010, the 3rd annual San Francisco Bay Area Bicycle Expo will return at Cow Palace.

If you missed last years event, make sure to mark the date on your calendar. The 2010 SF Bike Expo has a total of 8 main events (listed below):

1. Andrew Taylor’s Showdown: San Francisco’s Only Mountain Bike Dirt Jump Comp

3. The Cross Palace Cyclocross Race: A huge hit at the 2009 introduction! The race produced by Santa Rosa’s Bike Monkey actually goes in and back out of the Cow Palace.

5. Low Rider Arcade: Art meets passion as the low rider community shows off their work.

2011 – 2010 BMW Cruise Bike

BMW is a well known luxury car company, and now will launch their new series for 2010 – 2011 bikes.

Available now is the 2011 BMW Cruise Bike, while resembling a hardtail MTB, but is made for your everyday commuting, or getting in some local exercising. The design of the Cruise Bike is like much of the BMW cars available, clean and futuristic. More importantly, they feature a suspension fork, cantilever brakes, and 24 speed Shimano Alivio derailleur. Comfort is achieved by a adjustable stem, allowing you to set it just right for your height.

Weird part is, BMW states on the website “BMW bikes cannot be sent outside Europe or to Norway, Spain and Switzerland.” So it seems like availability is really limited. Retail is € 869,00, with your choice of orange/white, blue/black and silver/white.

Scott CR1 Pro 2010 Bike

The CR1 frame from Scott gets tweaked to become suited for comfortable day rides and sportives. It gets a new paint job with lacquer while the Scott’s Shock Damping System is evident in its seat and chain stays as well as the all-carbon fork.

The Scott CR1 promises a smooth ride with rear stays modified to withstand high amplitude and frequency of use. All in all, keeping the entire frame controlled and stiff in vertical compliance.

Making sure that comfort is at its best, Scott’s Road Comfort frame dimensions features a top tube relatively shorter than its Road Race specs. Santa Cruz Jackal 2010

Santa Cruz modified the 2008 Jackal, making it lighter by 1.7lbs but made sure that the frame retains its tough quality to make sure you can move at better heights and spins.

The new and better design was with the valuable input from Syndicate riders Jamie Goldman and Kirt Voreis. This resulted to a frame that gives you a better standover and with adjustable dropouts which you can set for singlespeed or derailleur.

The Jackal has a 1-1/8” head tube and a 30.9mm seat tube which has slack of 68.7 degrees for head and 71.7 degrees for the seat angles. The bottom bracket shell has a width of 73mm and height of 12.8”. Weighing at 4.8lbs, the Santa Cruz Jackal comes in colors of Black, Lime, Liquid Blue, Red, White, or Yellow.

Retail price ranges from $570-$680 depending on dealer prices.

To much surprise, Bianchi has released the Super Pista 2010 frameset in the popular Celeste green color scheme. The 2010 Bianchi Celeste Green Super Pista Frameset is basically the Concept, which still is a very popular model. Following the frame is what looks to be the original fork! Most stores have put their orders in, but limited framesets are available. Retail price is $749.00.
