You are qualified for the fix as long as you own a Ventus. The voluntary recall in the US is being managed together with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. Worldwide recall is being managed solely by 3T.

Ventus aerobar owners can also go online for the replacement kit. The website is Thenew3t.com/ventusrecall.

After its successful run in 2009, the Cotswold Spring Classic returns as scheduled on Easter Monday which will be on April 5. The sportive planned to have the event retain all its components the same as the previous year however, some changes will be made on the routes.

Some of the roads in the previous route are not ideal for the event due to the winter season. There will be additional climbs as well to keep everyone excited to test their skills.

The organizers explain their reason behind the route changes, “We pride ourselves on using minor roads for the Cotswold experience. However, many of these roads are in such poor condition that riding on them could be dangerous.”

Bjarne Riis is still on the lookout for a replacement to Saxo Bank which has served as the main backer of his cycling team. However, team director Trey Greenwood has revealed that a new Danish company has expressed interest in taking over the reins as team sponsor.

Which should be good news for Riis, since a previous meeting with another potential Danish sponsor did not go as well as he had hoped. As for the current team sponosr, Saxo Bank was expected to continue until the end of the 2011 season, at least, but had opted to leave the team early, which left Riis with no other choice but to let several of his riders go. However, it was not the end of the world for the team, since Riis was still able to hold on to Andy and Frank Schleck, plus multiple world TT champ Fabian Cancellara,…

However, he seemed to have broken the jinx as he finally found himself on top of the podium as the winner of the Catalunya scond stage. Cavendish finished in front of Team Saxo Bank’s Juan Jose Haedo and Spanish rider Aitor Galdos, who finished in second and third place respectively.

Reigning world road race champion Cadel Evans is looking forward to racing in the 2010 Giro d’Italia, and is particularly setting his sights on what he called the “interesting stages” of the race, referring to the mountain stages such as the Strade Bianche, the Plan de Corones, and the Zoncolan.

Evans has been strongly developing his form all throughout the season, and has been getting highly-placed finishes in the races he’s been in, including 5th place in the GP dell’Insubria, plus 3rd overall in the Tirreno-Adriatico, both in the points standings and in the final classification.

Aside from his strong form, Evans has also enjoyed a more relaxing atmosphere with his new team at BMC. The team was apparently built to support him, and Evans himself says that he feels a lot more respected here as compared to his previous team.

John Lelangue, the directeur sportif, has said that they…

No Wins yet for Omega Pharma-Lotto

no wins yet omega pharma lotto No Wins yet for Omega Pharma Lotto

The Omega Pharma-Lotto is under extreme pressure to garner a win. With the Belgium classics just around the corner, the team has nothing to show for this season yet.

Only two teams are left in the Pro Tour teams that have not won anything. Eukaltel-Euskadi joins the Belgian team on this unfortunate state. There are 39 Pro Tour and Professional Continental teams and out of them, there are 8 teams with no wins yet. BMC and Omega Pharma-Lotto are the only major classics team included in the group with zero victories.

Mostly, victory is just within the team’s reach. For instance, Jurgen Van den Broek nearly won the Ruta del Sol but only finished second on the two attempts. At the Volta ao Algarve, Mickael Delage and Jurgen Roelandts only came second on the stages too. The team leader of Omega Pharma-Lotto Philippe Gilbert also did his best to win…
