With the Giro d’Italia right around the corner, Rapha and designer Paul Smith whipped up a jersey overflowing with Italian influence.

Rapha elected its City Riding Jersey to be Paul Smith’s canvas. Featuring merino-hybrid technical fabric, the jersey comes in a subtle pink color with traces of Paul Smith throughout it, such as the Paul Smith rabbit sported on the left sleeve, and translucent language on the front of the garment.

The bike jersey carries all the traditional elements it should, too. It features a slim fit, reflective detailing and rear pockets. The fabric technology used by Rapha allows for a breathable, sweat-wicking experience.

Sharp magazine has unveiled its Book For Men Spring/Summer 2012 issue, which features five of the most beautiful road bikes on the market today. What is more, the road bikes are modeled by Luxembourger top model, Alice Rausch.

The five selected bikes are from respected bike brands, namely Cannondale, Cervelo, and Felt. Aside from being lightweight, these road bikes have been engineered with outstanding precision to provide reliable performance.

The photos were captured by Vancouver-based fashion advertising photographer, Trevor Brady. Each of Alice Rausch’s seductive cycling photos with a road bike was inspired by the 40s’ sexy pinup girls.

For 2012, a limited edition road bike named the BMC Impec Automobili Lamborghini, has been launched. Combining an Italian super-car design with Swiss cycling technology, this all carbon-fiber racing bike takes pride in its plush trim with a design similar to Cadel Evans’ award-winning Tour de France bike.

Built under the form-follow-function principle, as BMC and Lamborghini call it, this road bike is a first-class BMC Impec bikes’ derivative that incorporates accents like the Argos Orange of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4.

At the front of this super-car inspired road racing bike is the House of the Raging Bull symbol, the Lamborghini badge. Also made by Lamborghini are the bike’s suede-cover handlebars and saddle, which are grouped with Shimano and SRAM components.

One of Norco’s new 2013 road bikes from their race line is the Tactic, which will be available in four different builds.

The 2013 Tactic is being tested and road by Team H&R Block as we type this, but a prototype was on display at the Sea Otter Classic.

The frame weighs in at 900 grams for a 56cm. Added is what Norco is calling “arc road compliance race stay”, which is a slight curve on the frame but a flat profile for forgiveness in the stays.

A stiff chassis press fit bb30 to make it as stiff as possible. In addition, Norco added a 27.2 seat post (from a 31.8) on the 2013 Tactic for comfort.

As aforementioned, four builds will hit the market. For now, the three known are Shimano Ultegra Di2 and Dura-Ace, and SRAM Red. Releasing early 2013 and will also release as a frameset.

Brand spakin’ new at the Volkswagen Sea Otter Classic Powered by SRAM, protected from the heat at Bell’s booth set-up, sat the Bell Gage helmet designed for 2012. The helmet’s name was derived from the world’s first automotive speed shop’s location, 3633 Gage Avenue, in Bell, CA just outside of Los Angeles.

The Bell helmet features a number of hot selling points. For starters, a whopping 26 vents were used in its design to maximize ventilation. Bell added its Fusion In-Mold Microshell, TAG Fit System, and inner channeled ventilation to attract cyclist who dream at competing at a pro level.
