For 2011, Cube Bikes ushers in the Fritzz SL with 160mm travel for all mountain riding. It comes with the new 3×10 Shimano Deore XT components and allows you to maneuver the trails with Formula THE ONE hydr. discbrake (203/180mm).

The 2011 Fritzz SL features the Dual Trail Control second generation suspension system. It also has 200mm Fox Float RP23 BV, which lets you control the travel and Fox 36 Talas RC2 FIT 120 – 160mm fork. With 20mm through axle and FSA Orbit Z 1.5R semi-integrated headset, the Fritzz SL promises a fun ride that you can do all day long.

Point One Racing introduces the Podium Pedal, its latest contribution that lets you go faster on your mountain bike. The pedal was designed based on the elements of ground clearance, strength to weight and reliability. The Podium Pedal has a 11mm-13mm thinness and a 100mmx100mm platform.

The pedal body is made from CNC machined 6061 billet aluminum. The wide surface area offers more stability and the traction stud pattern makes it anti-slippery. The traction studs are made from quality steel and are zinc plated to delay corrosion.

The axle is CNC machined from 4140 chromoly steel and is heat treated, making it durable and strong. It is also hollowed and with an oversized flange. The Podium Pedal has four sealed precision cartridge bearings and chamfers to deflect rock impacts on the outside edge.

The 2011 Cove Shocker will be available in March and features a slightly lower bottom bracket, lighter frame and slightly slacker headtube.
The 2011 Cove Shocker features a 1.5″ headtube that you can also modify by using different headset cups. It has a 64 degree headtube angle and replaceable dropouts. The frame is handmade in Canada and also is equipped with a finely tuned customized Elka Shock (Stage 5 damper).

WTB introduces its Bronson tires for 2011 for all-mountain riding. The Bronson tire was built around WTB’s TCS bead. Coming out with the 2011 Stryker wheels, the Bronson tire comes in three sizes 2.1″ and 2.3″ for 26″ wheels and 2.2″ for 29ers.

Jason Moeschler of WTB says, “Instead of having to use ridiculously sticky rubber for traction, we opted to design a better tread pattern. This allows us to use a firm, durable compound, greatly improving tire life.”

The tread pattern of the tires are widely spaced U-shaped knobs that can cover a larger area and allows shedding of the mud easily. For race tires, the Bronson retails for $55. As for tubeless, retail price is $65.

WTB also launches its Stryker Wheels ,which uses 7000-series aluminum rims. It also features triple-butted WTB spokes and WTB hubset. The wheels weighs 1465 grams. It will be available in November.

Corsair Bikes introduces a 3-in-1 frame in 2011 for the average cycling enthusiast on a budget. The new frame is called Dominion and is specially designed to fit 3 riding disciplines, the freeride, slopestyle and the downhill. The new frame is priced at about $2000 and will be available in March or June of 2011.

The Dominion is one frame that you can build up and set up for DH, FR or SS on any day by simply replacing the shocks and the forks. The length of the forks you can use are 9.5, 8.5, 7.5 and 6.5 inch forks. Each time you want to modify the frame, you can adjust the head angle from 62.5 degrees to 69 degrees as well as the chainstay length.

MDE Bikes introduces the 69 DH bike for 2011. Handcrafted inn Italy, it uses MDE’s DH link suspension system where it functions linear at the start and then become progressive later on. The 2011 MDE 69 is designed for downhill racing. It features a rear travel of 210mm and a 64 degree head tube angle.

The bottom bracket height is 360mm and has a chainstay length of 17.48 inches. The MDE 69 DH frame weighs 3700 grams without shock. It also has 30mm seatpost with 1.5″ headtube. It also features BSA 83mm bottom bracket and ISCG 03 e 05 mounts.

The 2011 MDE 69 DH also uses the MDE Dropouts System or MDS and comes in colors of raw, racing red and royal white.

Cube bikes launches 160mm travel mountain bikes with its Fritzz Pro. The 2011 Fritzz Pro frame is made with HPA 7005 Hydroform STKTriple Butted tubes and features the FSP 4-Link system. It also has Formula RX hydr. discbrake (200/180mm) and 3×10 Shimano Deore XT and SLX components.

It has a retail price of $2499 and comes in colors of black, white and blue. The frame is available in sizes of 16″, 18″, 20″ and has a 20mm through axle. The Cube Fritzz Pro has Fox 36 Talas RC2 FIT 120 – 160mm fork and Fox Float P23 rear shock.
