Soul Cycles Vegas 2010 29er Full Suspension Mountain Bike

Soul Cycles have now added a new product for their 29”er hard tail. Joining the Dillinger is the “Vegas” full suspension bike.

The new frame is currently being manufactured by Soul Cycles to be ready for its launch by early summer. The design is a single pivot type which highlights a low leverage ratio travel of 5.5 inches. It will also be compatible Hammerschmidt. There is a front derailleur routing that allows you to use either 10mm or 12mm rear axle.

To maximize rear lateral stiffness, the iGlide based scissor link is in place. An Easton FS RAD tubeset will be fabricated with it. The scissors linkage functions to keep the swing arm laterally stable. The pivots will move on Igus “iGlide” bushings.

Versions available will be 26 inches and 29 inches. Soul Cycles will be bundling the frame with a Fox Shox RP-23 rear damper. The estimated retail price for the Vegas full suspension bike is under $1000.

The MaxMax is tagged to be the must-have bike. Its dirt jumping frame is made of 6061 T6 aluminum which is the same as the frames used on more pricey Absolut bikes.

The frame also acquired new dropouts which would allow more options for the bike to use different hubs. The frame will most likely be compatible with the following: 135mm hub standards which includes 10mm, 12mm and 12mm Maxle; singlespeed hubs that use a modular hanger or dropout system. The fork was developed to fit the frame, making it less heavy than the previous five-piece fork.

Ragley TD-1 29er 2010 Mountain Bike Frame

Ragley first launched about a year ago by none other than Richard Shedfire, and now they are releasing the new Ragley TD-1 29er frame for 2010. For 2010 the Ragley TD-1 29er is aimed towards a 440mm fork, which is different since most 29 inch mountain bikes use a 470 to 490mm fork. By using a shorter fork, this drops the handlebars by 30 – 50mm, allowing a better racing position.

The Ragley Ragley TD-1 29er 2010 frame is built by a familiar name Lynskey Performance, while each frame is manufactured in the USA. Featuring sliding dropouts, horizontal oval top tube, and curved seat tube. Presented is a aluminum model, but a retail friendly steel version will also release to accommodate your budget. Pre orders can now be placed from Ragley retailers, and holds a retail price of about $1,800 USD.

Bianchi Methanol SL Team Edition 2010 Mountain Bike

A new mountain bike is at the forefront for Bianchi. It unveils the Methanol SL Team Edition, the flag bearer for their 2010 MTB collection. To be used by the TX Active Bianchi Team this season, the bike comes in special colour schemes of blue that complements the jerseys used by the riders, as well as the San Marco saddles and Magura brakes.

The Bianchi Methanol SL Team Edition offers improved features by its ERC (embedded Reinforcement Construction) design that minimizes frame twisting and optimizes control. The carbon monocoque frame aims to be efficient, lightweight and sturdy. This led to the manufacturing components of the frame to be a mix from three differenet high modulus fibers. These are Toray 40T, 30T and T700. From them, the Triple Wall Tube (TWT) was made and incorporated into the frame.

Finally, other performance advantages are included like the FSA bars and stem, Magura Durin Race forks, Hutchinson Piranha/Cobra tubeless tires, Mavic Crossman SLR wheels, SRAM XX, Magura Marta SL Magnesium brakes and FSA K-Force Light chainset.

The Italian TX Active Bianchi Team rides proud on the new Methanol SL Team Edition and hopes to garner victories with the bike’s promising performance on the road.

Orange Bikes Cane Creek Double Barrel Shock

Orange Bikes will start using Cane Creek Double Barrel Shocks on select mountain bike models. The models to expect using the Cane Creek Double Barrel Shock are the Alpine 160, 224 Evolution, and Blood Bikes, and will feature Öhlins’ Twin Tube technology. Due to design, you are allowed full control of rebound and compression, which is achieved by oil circulating throughout the valving, while other shocks use the main piston.

Cane Creek Double Barrel shocks use four way adjustments for you to tune for high and low speed compression and high and low speed rebound, which can simply be done by hand. No need for aftermarket tunes due to the external adjustment, you can easily customize and setup for type of riding or weather conditions. Orange Bikes packages three different spring rates per model, while picking one depends on your weight. Upgrading to a steel spring varies in price, which you can see the list below.
