Colossi has crossed into a new realm, while previously constructing frames and forks, but for 2010 they introduce different components. The first line of Colossi components goes by the name of C-Unit, and while most of the components are white, a few shown also feature chrome and yellow. Each component which includes stems, cranks, seat post, forks, riser bars, drop bars, and bullhorns are branded with C-Unit. Availability at this time is not known.

Edit: The components are available now, and can be custom painted to any color.

Using Columbus Niobium steel, Gorilla bikes was able to design a frame for riders who put their bikes through lots of abuse. Niobium steel, in case you’re wondering, is special micro alloyed steel with Manganese, Chrome, Nickel, Molybdenum and Niobium. There’s no specifics on the fork, but one will soon be made available. Tim Fischer, SR Suntour’s manager stated that the SR Suntour The Messenger Single Ring Chainset is in response to the growing popularity of single speed and fixie riders, adding that you won’t have to spend a small fortune on the chainset (retail price is $90.00). Constructed of alloy and weighs in at 650 grams, and is available in silver, gloss white, and gloss black. Available towards the end of January 2010.

The latest addition to the scene is a ANT accessory known as Pedal Brain that works with both Apple products, making it compatible with cycling sensors such as SRM, PowerTap, Quarq, MetriGear and Garmin. It has the capability of keeping tabs on your workouts in real time, which can later be transfered to your computer’s hard-drive for archiving or uploaded straight to Facebook. Through GPS, it can map entire trips, including the change in elevation. The Pedal Brain also has an integrated coaching tool, providing its users with additional assistance for optimal workouts. For the past year, nabiis has tested the frame to make sure it holds up, and the features include double butted 4130 Cro-Moly frame, 68mm English bottom bracket, 1-1/8″ head tube fitting standard headsets, and 120mm Rear Spacing. The nabiis x FTC Alchemy 2010 black and gold frame is available at FTC Sacramento, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Barcelona, while the translucent turquoise, translucent gun metal and pearl clear coat can be purchase at nabiis.
