Blue Competition Cycles introduces the 2011 Norcross EX. It has a a T700 carbon monocoque frame with a full carbon fork and alloy dropouts. The Norcross EX has oversized tubes, making it stiff yet manageable.
The headtube is tapered 1 1/8″ to 1.5″. With a BB30 bottom bracket shell and SRAM Apex CX groupset, this ‘cross bike is one fast bike on American Classic Victory 30 wheels and Hutchinson Piranha tires.
Blue Competition Cycles made the Norcross EX available with Avid Shorty brakes, a Blue Logo saddle and Aerus finshing kit. It is available in XS, S, M, ML and L sizes. For a medium size, it weighs 1100g.

In cyclocross, not everyone goes for carbon. There are still some who prefer steel. Trek comes out with the 2011 Fisher Presidio just for those individuals. It has a steel cross frame made from the Platinum Series that’s custom-butted and with sliding vertical dropouts. Bontrager race cross fork, FCC wheels and tires, the Presidio has a SRAM Rival drivetrain and a 10-speed Shimano cassette.

Titanium is the material of choice for Seven Cycles although, carbon was recently added into its palette. The 2011 Mudhoney SL has its basic frame of Argen titanium butted tubes with a wide array of customization options.

The 2011 prototype Psychlo X RSL from Moots is its latest project that combines the best of two bikes to excel in the cyclocross world. Available on July 2011, the Psychlo X RSL titanium possesses butted tubes in the main frame.
To keep bearings away from the bottom bracket shell, the prototype has a pressfit BB30 that’s bridgeless. This will also give a wide platform for the oversized tubing and wider mud clearance with its flattened out chainstays.
Moots also highlights a replaceable rear derailleur hanger and a 30.9mm seatpost, identical to the Moots RSL. A redesigned old fork will be the fork for the Psychlo X RSL. The ‘cross prototype will have a RSL stem and total weigh will be about 15.5lbs….
