The Rabobank Giant Off Road Team finally completes their team list of 14 athletes. Rounding up the existing members are Gert-Jan Bosman, Lars van der Haar, Mike Teunissen, Emiel Dolfsma and Michiel van der Heijden.

Dolfsma, 17 and Van der Haar, 18 will join their teammates Gerben de Knegt and Bart Aernouts on the next cyclo-cross season. They will also be joined by 17 year olds Teunissen and Bosman. Meanwhile Van der Heijden, 18 will race with the team by October. He won second place at the 2009 European MTB Championships.

The other eight racers for Rabobank Giant Off Road Team are Emil Lindgren, Fabian Giger, Adam Craig, Erik Groen, Tim Lemmers, Marco Minnaard and Jelmer Jubbega.

The Barry-Roubaix race was created by Rick Plite in 2009. The event is a spring gravel road race which has grown in proportion ever since it started. From 262 riders, participants increased to a number of 654 for 2010. Plite shares how he came up with the idea of the race, “Many people enjoy gravel road rides to mix it up a bit from the grind of road or mountain biking. Most of us would rather ride our bike on a snow packed dirt road than slushy paved roads with traffic. The increasing popularity of cyclocross bikes also makes for a perfect match.”

This year’s race which covered 80% gravel roads began with morning lows in the 20s. By the time the race was underway, the temperature only rose to 34 degrees accompanied by a 15 mph wind from the southeast. Soon sunny skies were upon the riders but the temperature…

A petition recently was posted online to make Cyclocross a Winter Olympic sport, was created by a man named Mike who was tired of watching the regular Winter Olympic sports. The petition is international, although Cyclocross is huge in the UK, and growing in the United States. Mike stated that a course would be easy to assemble, which compared to the other Olympic games we have to agree. Just this last weekend, All City had a unveiling of their new single speed Cyclocross Bike, known as the Nature Boy. The All-City Nature Boy Single Speed Cyclocross Bike is named after Minnesota wrestler Ric Flair, a great name for a cyclocross. Using internal cable routing, signature headbadge and dropouts, and will be available in lime green.

For the specifics on the All-City Nature Boy Single Speed Cyclocross Bike, it features 4130 Double Butted Chromoly steel frame, 4130 tapered stays and fork blades, removable canti bosses, fender mounts that are hidden, and a aggressive race geometry. Expected release is late July for the frameset which MSRP is $540. For the complete, reail price is around $850, but not set in stone.

Kinesis and Upgrade Bikes came together for the Crosslight CSix2 2010 Cyclocross Frame, which is the first all carbon cyclocross frame from the two companies. Apart of Upgrades Advanced Development Program, the collaboration between the two will build off the CSix2 which first released in 2008 – 2009 season, which was rode by Jody Crawforth. Breaking down the Crosslight CSix2 2010 Cyclocross Frame, which uses a carbon monocoque front triangle and carbon rear triangle taken from the first CSix, and adding a new fork specifically designed for the frame.

The Crosslight CSix2 2010 Cyclocross Frame has a somewhat oval shape top tube to resist lateral flexing and comfort, wishbone seatstays, and chainstays for power transfer.
