Gerard Vroomen, co-founder of Cervelo, and Andy Kessler, ex-CEO of BMC, have collaborated for the launch of a new bike company called Open Mountain. Based in Basel, Switzerland, the new company will be launched in around 25 stores in 15 countries, including the United States.
Combining years of
expertise with simplicity, the Open Mountain will start
with one model, which is a hardtail 29er mountain bike. While it is claimed to be the lightest model on the market, it is able to pass all of the testing in Germany.
