For women riders who are looking for a new mountain bike, Specialized has released its new Safire Comp for 2012. Although very lightweight, this ultra-capable trail bike for women comes complete with the essential features a high-quality mountain bike needs to have.
To keep the weight low but still maintain its strength, the Safire Comp is built from a M5 manipulated alloy frame with 120mm of travel. The women-specific features of its frame include its cross-county trail geometry, tapered head tube, DMD derailleur mount, and sealed cartridge bearing pivots.
Major features of the 2012 Specialized Safire Comp Mountain Bike for Women include its custom-tuned suspension and dialed geometry. Moreover, the Ariel saddle comes with hollow Cr-Mo rails, an ergonomic cutout that gives pressure relief, and lightweight foam cushioning for maximum comfort.
