Santa Cruz has reintroduced the mountain bike frame called Jackal for 2012 with a fresh and spanking new design. After two seasons of input by Jamie Goldman and Kirt Voreis, who are Syndicate riders, the Jackal is nicely redesigned.
First off, the design of the Jackal is updated for an enhanced standover. While the frame does not offer fancy suspension links, it takes pride in its mountain-bike specific features, such as its adjustable dropout and 73mm BB shell. Its fork ranges from 80mm to 160mm.
Engineered perfectly with serious dirt jumpers in mind, the 2012 Santa Cruz Jackal Mountain Bike Frame is a reliably strong trail machine. The recommended max tire width for this tough trail bike is 2.7in. For those who prioritize bump compliance or ride comfort, this is not the right bike.
