Two new 29er mountain bikes called Sonora SL and ES have been offered by Stevens Bikes for 2012. First off, weighing in at 9.3 kg is the Sonora SL, which features a Hi-Mod carbon frame, Classy Fox RLC fork with Kashima coating, Shimano XTR Premium equipment, and a 27.2 mm carbon seat post for maximum comfort.

Compared to the Sonora SL, the Sonora ES has slightly lower end spec. The Sonora ES comes with 100mm Fox fork and its top frame features a tapered headtube, embedded shifting cables and a Pressfit bottom bracket. Also in the rear are post mount disk brake eyes.

With the same high-quality carbon frame, both the 2012 Stevens Sonora SL and Sonora ES 29er Mountain Bikes are reliable machines on the trail. Weighing in at 10.3kg, the Sonora ES is heavier than the Sonora SL, which will be available in two spec options.
