2012 Trek Wahoo 29er Bike

Trek has released a new 29er bike for 2012 called Wahoo. This new 29er bike takes pride in its light Gold Series butted-aluminum frame from Trek. The 29″ wheels keep momentum and offer more stability as well.
Along with the frame are a G2 29er geometry and a 100mm-travel fork to offer first-rate handling, clear-cut steering and absolute control on all kinds of trails. With its hydroformed Alpha Gold aluminum tubing, the ride is made even stiffer and more responsive.
In case the rider wants to slow down in any circumstance, it is made easier through the Solid Tektro disc brakes that put a clamp on the light Bontrager 29er wheels. The 2012 Trek Wahoo 29er Bike also has Shimano 24-speed drivetrain and Bonty components that allow the rider to cruise anywhere easily.

It is a great bike. I bought this bike in Matte Blue color and it looks good. It provides a smooth ride in almost any kind of terrain, which is great. Also, since it’s not heavy at all, you can keep going and going without having to stop to take a breath so often. Overall, it is awesome. And the price is low.
I also just got a matte blue Wahoo. I liked it stock but it’s a lot better now. I first replaced the pedals since the original items that came with my particular bike were too small. I asked about a Recon Silver air fork and the shop owner told me they’re going to have to order it and it is going to take 2-3 months. I got a ‘normal’ Recon Silver air fork instead. I haven’t noticed any difference in the handling. I also got a slightly longer stem and a Titec El Norte Pro Lite bar in white to match my Truvativ pedals. It’s great. I just took it to a local trail this afternoon and I had so much fun on my Wahoo. It’s really smooth. I also use it for surface street commuting and I find myself playing and having fun with my bike. The only thing that sort of worries me are the wheels. I just read that it has single wall rims. Aside from that I love my Wahoo and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable but great 29er hardtail.
