Momsen has been hard at work to produce a mountain bike that’s the total package in the form of the 2011 Momsen SL929 Full Carbon 29er Hardtail, which features a full XTR 2×10, FSA/Easton carbon cockpit, carbon railed saddle from Fizik Tundra and tires from Kenda and Stan’s NoTubes ZTR Race wheelset.
This carbon hardtail has a 17” frame and weighs only 19.95 lbs or 9.05kg. The bike’s geometry and design was based on a clever mix of the dropout designs from Orbea, together with the swooping top tube to seatstays curve courtesy of Specialized bikes. The Momsen SL929 also sports a rear brake mounts within the rear triangle plus the standard internal cable routing and tapered headtube. The SL929 frame was create using a high modulus carbon fiber weaved together with a UD outer layer for added style and finesse.
Riders who are interested in getting the Momsen SL929 can either purchase the frame or the frameset, which will include the Reba fork, headset, frame and seat clamp and will cost $1,795. The complete bike set up with be placed at around $5,495.
