FOCUS Izalc team Katusha enters season 2011 with a new race bike. This Russian ProTour Team Katusha’s new official team bike is from FOCUS, German bicycle manufacturer. This new race bike features a balanced and comfortable seating position as well as excellent power transmission. The first appearance of this bike was on January 16, 2011 in the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under, where 133 riders meet to donate to the Queensland Flood Relief Appeal for the flooding victims in Queensland, Australia.
The Focus Izalco Team Katusha Road Bike has internally routed precision-engineered cables, decreasing aerodynamic drag. The design is already nice but these cables make it even better. The tapered head tube includes a matching Rigida Pro fork for combined stiffness and comfort. To optimize power transfer, the oversized bottom bracket continues the BB30 standard. This bike is outfitted with a SRAM shifting system, bottom bracket and brakes, 3T fork, Garmin training computer, vision wheels, continental tubes, FSA components (handlebar, stem and seat post) and a Pro Logo saddle. FOCUS sells a full line of bikes all over the world with the Izalco chassis. This includes six models priced between $7,500 and $3,100.
