The New Year celebration isn’t over yet or at least not for Marin Bikes California who has introduced one of their latest models, theMarin 2011 Quad XC Series. This bike was announced last August 2010 but with less information and many people were left with unanswered questions.
Marin Quad XC Series bikes are built with a new Hydro Light II Frame and 100mm travel Quad 2.0 suspension system that comes with a new and low profile Y link design. Take note that all rift models are made for power and speed. The series features short chainstays and elevated swingarms that provide immediate energy transfer to the rear wheel, which gives ample tire clearance when racing through muddy and challenging trails.
First stop, in super white gloss with cyan blue and black decals, is the Rift Zone XC8 with a 6061 aluminum frame and front suspension of Fox 32 F100RL; 100mm with Rebound Adjustment; Lockout and Air Spring Preload. This ride gives you rigidity of its own kind. It comes with SRAM X-9 – 2×10 Speed – 39/26 crankset; with SRAM X.O components; and Avid Elixir brakes, this rift model will race with you with its SUNRingle Black Flag Pro Tubeless Ready Wheelset.
Next is the Rift Zone XC7. Its frame is also of the same kind – 6061 aluminum frame. But with a front suspension of Rock Shox Recon Gold RL 100mm that features a poplock remote lockout and lightweight alloy steerer tube, air preload adjustment and rebound adjustment. In Shimano shadow XT components and Mavic Cross Ride Disc Rims, this rift will give you power to dominate as you race in full speed.
Finally, Rift Zone X6 in 6061 aluminum frame and Rock Shox TORA TK Coil front suspension will go for the win! Built with Shimano Shadow SLX components, this rift is described as the speed of light rider installed with Mavic XM-119 rims.
Each rift model comes with central linkage placement and triple sealed bearings, which gives you the assurance of a safer, faster and powerful ride of a lifetime.
