In cyclocross, not everyone goes for carbon. There are still some who prefer steel. Trek comes out with the 2011 Fisher Presidio just for those individuals. It has a steel cross frame made from the Platinum Series that’s custom-butted and with sliding vertical dropouts. Bontrager race cross fork, FCC wheels and tires, the Presidio has a SRAM Rival drivetrain and a 10-speed Shimano cassette.
The Presidio promises a smooth ride with its cartridge bearings, FSA headset, Bontrager handlebar, stem 31.8mm and seatpost 27.2mm with zero offset. Cantilever brakes from Avid Shorty and Bontrager Evoke saddle with chromoly rails keep the cross bike lightweight and stable, ready for anything.
Technically advanced and available in six sizes, the 2011 Fisher Presidio has an MSRP of $2089.99.
