The Hora from Italy’s Vittoria is a carbon sole shoe that provides a well ventilated fit when used for road bike racing. It has a Lorica microfiber upper with inserts of reinforced carbon and nylon mesh for good air flow.
The carbon sole is actually Vittoria’s UD carbon “Freccia tricolore”. This features an overall thickness of 3mm that supports your foot when you pedal, giving it enough rigidity in all the right places and corresponding comfort on areas that do not require stress. The road shoe possesses a cleat fixing slot and a special paint finish for better grip, too.
The Vittoria Hora uses a rotary ratchet mechanism that lets the nylon cord lace up with a small lever on the upper. A buckle strap across the upper, right above the knob is added for more security. It weighs 265g and retails for €249.
