2011 Niner W.F.O.9

2011 niner w f o 9 2011 Niner W.F.O.9

Niner ushers in the first tapered headtube on a 29er with the 2011 W.F.O.9. Wide Full Open comes with a 5.5″ CVA suspension (Constantly Varying Arc), hydroformed tubing and options of 135 or 150mm rear spacing.

The CVA suspension design is to accomplish a bike that has a wheel dialed in on the different arcs it runs with, making it pedal neutral as well as brake neutral. The Niner W.F. O.9 keeps its gear in tune with each other so as not to affect the performance of the suspension.

The downtube’s S-bend gives way to an ISCG mount that makes the W.F.O.9 Hammerschmidt compatible. As for the shock, it is coil or piggyback compatible.

The 2011 W.F. O.9 has two options for build kits. A Shimano XT kit has a MSRP of $2678 while the SLX is priced at $2299. The frame retails for $1899 (135mm) and $2099 (150mm).

Campagnolo‘s product range includes cycling apparel and its latest addition is the L118 Women’s Racing Jersey. The long-sleeved jersey provides the needed warmth and full coverage for women cyclists, especially during the winter months. Its fabric is made with a hollow-core material called “Alaska” that provides heat control. This also meant less sweat gathers because the fabric promotes overall dryness.

The L118 has shaped sleeves and fits to the body but is extremely breathable and non-restrictive. Anti-bacterial in a sense that the Alaska fabric guarantees no bacteria from moisture.

There are two back pockets to house valuables, a silicone gripper with the reflective Campagnolo logo and red detailing on the sides. The L118 comes in two colors and with sizes from XS to XL.

2008 Redline D640 Recall

2008 redline d640 recall 2008 Redline D640 Recall

A recall of the 2008 D640 bikes was issued by Redline Bicycles on December 9, 2010. Its parent company, Seattle Bike Supply, released a safety notice regarding the frames of the D640 2008 models. It’s suggested to immediately stop the use of the affected bicycles because cracking in the headtube welded joints can lead to separation of the headtube from the frame. On the frame’s top tube, you’ll find the model number. There are about 200 units sold from December 2007 to May 2010.

As such, this is hazardous since it can result in injury. So far, there have been eight reports of headtubes detaching from the frame with four incidents of reported minor injuries. To get a free frame replacement, contact your local Redline Bicycle dealer.

For more information, you can call (800)-283-2453 Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm PST or visit www.redlinebicycles.com….
