Lapierre modifies the DH920 for 2011 with the Pendbox suspension system. The frame, which was developed by Nicolas Vouilloz, highlights an integrated seat clamp, a rear triangle made from carbon, a head angle that’s adjustable and internal cable routing. Lighter by 300g, the DH920 promises pedal efficiency combined with performance traction for a true blue downhill race bike.

Other than the carbon frame and the alloy suspension, the 2011 DH920 has a Fox DHX RC4 shock and a Fox 40 RC2 FIT fork. The bottom bracket is a SRAM GXP integrated bearings with a pressfit SRAM Descendant crankset. Seatpost, handlebar and stem is from Easton with SRAM X0 rear derailleur and shifters. The 2011 prototype Psychlo X RSL from Moots is its latest project that combines the best of two bikes to excel in the cyclocross world. Available on July 2011, the Psychlo X RSL titanium possesses butted tubes in the main frame.

To keep bearings away from the bottom bracket shell, the prototype has a pressfit BB30 that’s bridgeless. This will also give a wide platform for the oversized tubing and wider mud clearance with its flattened out chainstays.

Moots also highlights a replaceable rear derailleur hanger and a 30.9mm seatpost, identical to the Moots RSL. A redesigned old fork will be the fork for the Psychlo X RSL. The ‘cross prototype will have a RSL stem and total weigh will be about 15.5lbs….

Stemming from the Alpine Five prototype, the Alpine 160 features a tapered headtube, hydroformed top tube from Reynolds, Fox 36 160 float R TS fork and an oversized monocoque downtube. It has a 6061 aluminum seat tube that comes with a 30.9mm diameter for more seatpost options. The result is a more responsive bike with a Fox Float RP23 shock that stresses lateral stiffness and maximum traction, ideal for descents and climbs.

The 2011 Alpine 160 also brings a Race Face X type bottom bracket, flat pedals, Truvativ handlebar, stem and post and SDG Bel Air saddle to the table. When Commencal came out with the Supreme DH, the 2011 Supreme 6 garnered the name Mini DH. Made for downhill or enduro trail, it has a 6.3″ travel with the main pivot located inside the short seat tube. For a progressive spring curve, it features the Contact System linkage.

The Supreme 6 has replaceable dropouts that allows switching between 10mm, 12mm or Maxle. The forged bottom bracket is integrated on the swingarm and an oversized axle is held up by 2 stainless steel rings. The rear shock is a Fox DHX 3RC2 coil with piggyback.

Built for enduro and all mountain, the 2011 Tracer from Intense carries new changes that makes it dominate the market of trail bikes. The new Tracer 2 has an adjustable travel of 145mm or 160mm at its upper link. It uses the patented VPP suspension platform and has four geometry sizes to suit any rider.

The 2011 Tracer 2 can accommodate various headset and steerer options with its full 1.5″ head tube. It has a new rear dropout system and comes with 142×12 standard but also allows SyntaceX12, or standard 135QR dropouts. A better bearing system is new for this trail bike with an EZ-lock binder-bolt feature on the main pivot.

For a stable and rigid swingarm, it gets a machined boxbrace seatstaybridge. To add, the yoke was redesigned with lower link machining. The hydroformed downtube was also modified to save weight with the ISCG-05 integration on the BB shell.
